Kerry CCC is expected to investigate a serious incident which left 2018 All-Ireland MFC winner Jack Kennelly with a broken jaw and led to the abandonment of a club game in the county last weekend.
Kennelly was removed to hospital by ambulance after the off-the-ball incident happened in the early stages of the Kerry SFL Division 3 encounter between Ballydonoghue and Castlegregory. The game was abandoned in the 18th minute.
Kennelly's club Ballydonoghue has said it's liaising with the player's family after the incident and has thanked their club physio and two nurses who were spectators at the game for attending to him while awaiting the ambulance's arrival.
Kerry CCC will examine the referee's report before deciding what course of action to take.
