The Minor Football and Minor Hurling Tournament finals continue this week.

Last Thursday Dunderry and the Saints got the finals season up and running in a very entertaining MHT Group D final.

Monday saw another four deciders across the county. In Simonstown St. Pats, despite missing two penalties withstood a Moynalty second half comeback to claim the Minor Football Tournament Group C title. Goals from Shane Gallagher and Harry Butler saw Gaeil Colmcille record a minimum win over St. Colmcilles in Duleek in the MFT Group D decider. In Bective St. Mary’s had too much firepower for combination side Round Towers/Rathkenny in the Group F final. Simonstown came out on top in a high scoring encounter in the premier final played at Walterstown.

On Tuesday St. Coilmcilles had four points to spare over Donaghmore Ashbourne in the Group A final at Stamullen. Over in Syddan St. Ultans/Cortown Gaels had too much for Skryne in the Group B final. Fresh from their hurling success last week Dunderry completed the double with a four point win over Slane at Rathkenny.

On ThursdayDonaghmore Ashbourne caused an upset in the Minor Hurling Tournament Group A final by beating Trim by a point in the final at Kiltale. These two met in round 2 and Trim ran out 4-12 to 0-10 comfortable winners. In Boradsmill Na Fianna thanks to three goals saw off Kilmessan in the MHT Group B final. St. Michaels/Nobber came out on top in a high scoring encounter to claim the MFT Group E title at Moynalty.

Wolfe Tones claimed the last prize on offer on Sunday with three points to spare over Killyon in the MHT Group C final.
