Eamonn O'Hara and Dessie Sloyan have been appointed joint managers of the Sligo senior football team.

The former team-mates, who hold legendary status in the Yeats County, have been installed for a three-year term, subject to an annual review. They will be joined by head coach Con O'Meara and 2012 Donegal All-Ireland SFC winner Eamon McGee as a coach / selector.

The team’s S&C coach will continue to be Sean Boyle. Stephen Gilmartin will remain as team doctor with Tourlestrane's Alan Dunne leading Physio and Rehabilitation and Aidan Carty of Coolera Strandhill continuing as kit man.

O'Hara and Sloyan succeed Tony McEntee, who stepped down earlier this summer after five years in charge.

Limerick man Tom Hennessy was also rubberstamped as Sligo's new senior hurling manager at last night's county board meeting, replacing Stephen Shiel who is believed to be a candidate for the vacancy in Westmeath.

Other managers ratified were Stephen Henry (U20 football), Ownie Coyle (minor football) and Martin Feeney (minor hurling).
