FL Div 3: First defeat for Kilbride

Kilbride hosted Ballivor for the posponed round 3 FL clash on Tuesday the 15th of April.

David O’Leary opened the scoring within the first three minutes, setting the tone for what would be a tightly contested match. Kilbride followed up with some well taken points, showing sharpness in attack. Throughout the game, Kilbride’s defensive line remained solid and organised, limiting Ballivor’s scoring chances in a closely fought encounter. Just before the break, a crucial save from Manning kept Kilbride firmly in the contest. 

Half time score: Kilbride 0-08 Ballivor 1-06

Kilbride came back strong in the second half, hoping to regain control of the game. Ballivor narrowly pulled ahead, but a crucial goal by Adam Malone got Kilbride back on level terms with Ballivor. Warren Roders and Fiachra Gorman added vital points to keep Kilbride in contest, but Ballivor pulled ahead and secured the win with some final points.
