A five star display from James Hanafin and Edward O’Shea paved the way for Moynalvey NS to claim their first ever Meath Cumann na mBunscol Division 3 hurling title at Lomans Park. PHOTOS

The winners controlled the opening half. Hanafin scored 1-6 and along with goals from James Byrne, O’Shea (2) and Adam Dunne they led 5-6 to 1-3 at the break. Tom McVann kept Dangan in the game with 1-2 in the opening 25 minutes.

Flynn Larkin gave Dangan a great start to the second half with their second goal but joint captain Cole Heraghty responded in kind for Moynalvey. The team in Maroon and White were 16 points in front heading into the last ten minutes before Dangan finished with a Conor Gray goal and a point from McVann.

After the game James Hanafin and Chloe Heraghty were presented with the Division 3 Cup by John Byrne.
