Schools: Kill turn the tables on Kilskyre

Kilskyre's Charles Morton closes in on Peadar Callaghan St. Michaels Kill during the Division 4 Hurling final at Lomans Park

Having lost to their opponents in the group stages St. Michaels Kill came good in the Allianz Meath Cumann na mBunscol Division 4 hurling final in the first game of the day on Friday at Lomans Park Trim. PHOTOS

Wind assisted Kilskyre dominated for the most of the the opening half. Jim Hayes had Kill on the scoreboard first but points from Fionn Owens (2) and Sean Gilsenan had the team in Black and Amber in front at the break.

There was still two in it with eight minutes gone in the second half but from there on St. Michaels made the push for home. Hayes and Luke O’Malley levelled proceedings and soon after the games only goal arrived courtesy of joint captain Hayes. 

After the game joint captains Jonas Dempsey and Jim Hayes were presented with the Division 4 hurling cup by Caroline Gibbons.
