Killoe Young Emmets stayed on course for back-to-back senior football championship titles last night by seeing off Rathcline on a comprehensive 2-15 to 0-7 scoreline.
Larry Moran’s goal had the holders six points up after 14 minutes as they moved towards a commanding 1-9 to 0-4 interval lead.
It took six minutes of the second-half for Killoe to find the net again via Daniel Mimnagh and they’d push their lead out to 14 before the final whistle sounded.
The win sees Luke Dempsey’s men through to the quarter-finals with a round to spare, as they bid for their club's third title in five years and 15th overall.
