Damien Comer showed why he is one the hardest players in Gaelic football to stop when in possession with this cracking goal for Annaghdown in the Galway SFC on Sunday.
The county star won a throw-in on the 20-metre line before driving through the heart of the Milltown defence and crashing a powerful left-footed shot to the top corner of the net. The 43rd minute strike proved decisive in a 1-15 to 0-15 victory for Annaghdown who also accounted for Barna in their Group 4 opener a fortnight earlier when Comer – whose inter-county season was hampered by injury – also scored the winning goal.
