Replying To Fionn:  "Well one player in particular that was mentioned, should not be anywhere near it."
Any clue?

I think it is time for Stephen to move into that roll now. Hang up his boots.

JC would be excellent - I was at a club game in Parnell Park and Na Fianna were playing, and he was on the sideline calling out instructions and tactics. Very astute guy.

We know Brian is currently over in the US playing Gaelic Football, but I didn't realise that there are 53 Inter County GAA players, playing Gaelic Football in America this Summer.

Begs the question, what perks are they getting.?
Or is it purely for the love of the game and to keep themselves active whilst over there.??

One thing is for sure, it makes for a very competitive US club championship....

Are you joking Fionn? Inter county players get paid big money to play in USA. I spent time in New York.Even looking for a job they more or less tell you we want you to play for this county or that county. There are plenty of wealthy Irish business people in the states only too happy to spend their cash helping their counties to win.Its a great way for inter county players to earn good bucks.

Yeah these lads are getting well looked after. You can be sure the likes of Fenton is getting a nice lump sum plus accommodation, car etc for the summer. It's the most well known secret going over there at this stage.

The irony is that loads of these guys will be gone until September yet the intercounty finishing in July is aimed at getting lads back to their clubs earlier. Yet a plethora of top tier players are over in the US and nowhere near their home clubs for another couple of months at best.

It was tongue in cheek about the players heading over for the love of the game.

I wont mention figures on here, but let's just say, a deposit for a house wouldnt be far off the mark....

Very interesting interview by Diarmuid Connolly on the next Dublin manager.

Not a done deal yet by any means, apparently.....

I'd want Giller back, if he'd take it.
Brennan hasn't done enough yet for me.

Liam, dont forget Offaly under Mickey Harte. They are improving.
Leinster will be as competitive as Connacht next year imo.
The years of Dublin dominance are over.

Ulster is out on its own of course.

And Munster is a basket case at this stage tbh.
A foregone conclusion - only 6 SFC titles since the Millennium have not been won by Kerry.
And this dominance looks to continue for the foreseeable future, especially with the amount of underage talent they have coming through, as u20 and Minor. They are clearly doing something right in Kerry. A conveyor belt of excellent players.

Cue the usual non-Dub poster jumping in..... as predictable as the scuts with Delhi belly. ;o)

Ulster is tight.Leinster is improving I hope. This year looked promising but we will see.Kerry always have talent.its their thing but we do too Fionn.Dermo Connolly on last week and reckons Dublin have serious talent around and the future is blue. If we get the right man to lead us the Dubs will be a match for anyone
