Ciaran Murphy has a decent book. Can't think of the name of it. About his life playing with Miltown in Galway and then to the club in Dublin plus his work as a journalist and then podcasts. eoinog (Sligo) - Posts: 1954 - 12/07/2024 12:26:37 2558540 Link 1 |
Just bought it now. It is difficult to get some of these classics. Is there a GAA book shop in Croke park that sells them or do they just get lost in time once out of production?

Read Philly McMahon's book recently. It's not your bog standard GAA autobiography. I found it an interesting read. Lots about growing up in Ballymun and the challenges that brought, including his brothers battle with drug addiction. Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1466 - 03/08/2024 20:49:44 2563723 Link 2 |

A great read. As somebody who grew up on Northside of Dublin, I was lucky to have a family support around me to help me avoid those pitfalls but I too know people who were not so lucky.
