Was in Roscommon and got to see Donegal v mayo, earlier this year. Thought SHANE o Donnell, was the player who gave mayo serious problems with his ball carrying and passing game.

Kerry are slight favourites overall, they are confident and should win. Donegal are hopeful and could win. Predicting is a dicey business after last Sunday's hurling final, wouldn't rule out a draw tbh.

Disagree completely teams maybe even and Jim great for donegal but jsck is good manager too he isn't far worse than Jim just donegal where nowhere really before Jim since 90s jack is good too though.

It's combination team players on field who wil ultimately decide to just manager but both teams and manager good.

Unfair to jack is way behind Jim he is good manager

Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "Kerry have the experience, that's massive, they have the tradition, they have probably the greatest forward of all time in David Clifford and many other excellent players.
I think maybe we have a better team when you add up all the parts if you follow me, I just hope we play our best on the day to give ourselves a chance, and if that's good enough we win.
Very hard game to call, heart says Donegal and head says Donegal by 2. Going to be a nerve wrecker though.
Safe travels to all and enjoy it wherever you are, Donegal is decked out in green and gold, great buzz up here."
Maybe slightly either way you can argue but hate this disrespect kerry have other top class outside David too seanie paudi joe oconor and gavin whyte u fair say only David yes has big effect but same with dobegal Murphy affects a lot donegal.
Maybe terms forwards and whole package everyone may score fot donegal but I think there's little between the team quality wise

Clifford to draw early yellow cards on Donegal lads.
Kerry to snake it

Difficult to begrudge underdogs Dun na nGall a 3rd ever title knowing that Kerry will probably win more All Irelands that most counties over next decade. They even denied your own Longford a first ever All Ireland appearance when you made your Leinster breakthrough. That was a very good Longford team , winning a league title and beating All Ireland champions Meath on their way to provincial glory.

Kerry to win by 3/4 I think. They have been coming into form at the right time, and way they played football against Armagh in that second half Donegal will not live with them. It was a joy to watch in Croker.

Has Donegal form been that impressive since clinching Ulster?

I'm going to go against the inclination to give a 'yerra' prediction and say Kerry win by four points. It's not a confident prediction by any means.

For all the talk of Clifford, Kerry's defence has been quietly good in the semi and quarter final, very solid and well organised and never really let their opponents into the game. If they can do a reasonable job with Donegals forwards and we do t get wiped out on restarts I think we can score enough at the other end. That's a big 'if' of course, because Donegal will be better than Tyrone or Armagh.

I'm surprised to see so much talk and expectation of Jimmys game plan that is supposedly going to catch Kerry. Jimmys reputation as a master tactician is based on the old rules and is heavily coloured by the semi final against Dublin eleven years ago. People overlook that he was out-coached and sucker punched in the final that year by Fitzmaurice and O'Neill (on the sideline again tomorrow) who almost certainly had the lesser group of players to work with at that time.

That's not to say that he isn't a great coach or that his teams aren't well drilled and organised, which of course they are, but Jimmys greatest attribute has always been his ability to connect with, motivate and get buy-in from his players IMO, rather than tactics or game planning.

I'm not expecting any great innovation from Donegal tomorrow. If they win I expect it'll be because they win the battle around the middle of the field, which is a very realistic prospect. Kerry will be in huge trouble if they can't at least break even there.

May the best team win and I hope everyone enjoys the day

Kerry are shaking their boots tonight, Donegal to win by 1 point in a nail biter of a finish.

I have a feeling one team could collapse completely like in the hurling and be beaten by eight points or more...trouble is I don't know which county it will be!
