So the many seniors, and others, who nowadays travel by train to matches are also inconvenienced."
A lot of Kerry supporters live, work or are retired in Dublin. Tullamore will suit any Dublin seniors who might want to travel by train.

Replying To Mfs:  "Gunman - I am not disagreeing with you, we found ourselves in same position in the past. However there didn't seem to be many options. Jim McGuinness seemed to be against Croke Park, Sligo is closed, Leitrim to small, Cavan and Tyrone playing at the same time so that ruled them out."
Carrick was said to be too small a few years back for some previous neutral game which escapes me, and it was only half filled

Not big enough, 18 to 20k crowd expected to attend that match.

A little less than 10k can be accommodated in Carrick... I thought it was at least 15k and it certainly was 17-18k at one point. Pity as it would be a fairly good place for the game with the new pitch etc.

I think a double header in Thurles for Cork vs Roscommon and Kerry vs Meath would have been better.

Navan to Tullamore is 84km."
Kerry get the handy province, the handy group now they want a handy ground as well!

Sure ye won't travel anyway. Embarrassingly outnumbered by Armagh supporters in an AI semi final last year 5:1.

Both games have to kick off at the same time

Kerry fans won't travel regardless of where it was played.

Makes sense to play it in a neutral venue that is accessible for Meath fans, as they will make up the vast majority of the support there on the day.

Also nice and accessible for Kerry people living in Dublin/Meath/Kildare.

Should have been played in Limerick or Thurles.

Some craic having four teams on the pitch at the same time as both matches have to be played at the same time.

Round 3 Group matches have to be on at the same time so a double header was never option.

Armagh v Galway in Ulster venue after the amount of complaining from Armagh about playing the last two group games between the two in Connacht venue.

They dont as the games have no bearing on each other. The results of either game does not affect positions of other. The top 2 teams in the group will be Meath and Kerry and Rossies and Cork fighting for third position.

Why the GGs? That's less than 35 miles from the Kerry border?

If you are inclined to spend money at a match Thurles does the worse cup of coffee in Ireland. Not a problem if you don't spend money I guess. Or drink coffee!

Roscommon can still finish second if they overturn the score difference and Meath lose. So the result of either one has an impact.

Sure we might as well play yee in Killarney.Would that suit?Honestly some people just love to moan.Yee had a home game v Roscommon and away match in Cork which is right beside you(I know both counties are big)but they're your neighbours and now you have to travel a bit more the moaning starts.Plenty of counties have to travel Donegal,Galway etc.I for one love going to different grounds first time in Hyde park last week cracker of a ground and met some lovely Roscommon people and had good craic. If you dont want to make the trip dont go,wait till the latter stages as I'm sure yee will be there.
