Replying To realdub:  "Yeah, way off it Mick, the rules are there now, whether they like it or not. Ger Brennan may fancy it, we'll see."
Ger might alright but he a very loyal sort of fella so wont walk away from Louth unless he gets their blesding..It will be interesting but I d imagine the DCB wont be in any hurry to appoint until at least October or November.

Really just Clifford and O Shea.

Replying To realdub:  "Clifford could win this on his own if he gets the chance, tomorrow could be reminiscent of Tyrone V Gooch back in the 00s :D"
He could but no more than Dublin with Con,we need David on fire to have any hope.I fancy Armagh but just hoping for the best.

Both results today went along expected lines at the end. Monaghan had some first half but wasted a lot of chances in the second half.
I thought Tyrone would get through today. They'll be a tough semi final opponent for whoever draws them.

Replying To realdub:  "True, I'd even throw in a one=legged Diarmuid Connolly at this stage :D"
Diarmo would have revelled in these new rules.
Unbelievable that we cannot score a 2 pointer.
What the hell have we be been at in training.

And to concede 6 of them to Tyrone today... bonkers.

As great as The Gooch was that Kerry team was never as reliant on him for scores as this Kerry team is as reliant on David Clifford. Their balance was better. O'Connor has Kerry playing to Clifford's strengths rather than Clifford playing to the teams strength. And ye spotted that in '23, found a way to keep him quieter, to lift Sam.

Although pitch slippery, Dublin and Tyrone poor for long periods. Tyrone came to life in the last quarter, but playing one good quarter against any of the other teams remaining will not get Tyrone very far. Huge improvement needed; not sure they can play with the required intensity for a full game tbh. Donegal would have beaten the pick of Tyrone and Dublin today. Kerry is beatable - if someone kidnaps the Cliffords.

Watching match again, 64 th minute Cluxton misses a free to put Dubs in front, 30 seconds later Tyrone go 2 up. Small margins.

Exactly - no free taker and no one to take a 2 pointer.

Shocking in this day and age tbh.

Had to bring on Con, who had to try get us over the line, whilst playing on 1 leg....

Total reset required now with new management and new ideas.

Very little talent coming through at underage either, so they will have to trawl through the club scene.

The classic final would be Donegal/Armagh.

This Galway/Meath game is truly dreadful… so much for the new rules…!!! As I said when things get to the nitty gritty of the Championship the new rules would be found out…

15 to go and Meath are destroying Galway. Only 6 up but if Meath could kick scores they'd be 12 up.

Galway are very poor. They've gotten worse every time I've seen them this year.

Meath kicked the ball dead before the hooter sounded, but the game is over?

What's the rule there?
