That's already been pointed out here already.

By that logic should men be the only one's to vote on anything to do with the mens game?

Where? I've seen no comment that states how many of delegates who voted against the motion were men.

Replying To foreveryoung:  "F&&k the antiquated rule book. Shred it! Let the CA press the nuclear button! The players are also willing to press it. They had their finger on it! And would have donned SHORTS on Sunday!

No players= no game!

The players have now called the CA/GAA's bluff! That's why the MUNSTER FINAL has been delayed.

Come out of the fog, Pikeman!"
What do you say if the players down tools and say we won't be play until we are paid to do so. You can't have anarchy

Replying To foreveryoung:  "Not surprised by the comments on here! And not surprised that the technicalities were picked up on, long before the actual issue!

Mea culpa for associating the game of camogie (women's hurling) with the GAA. Mea culpa for associating rule governance of the game as coming from Croke Park. Where does the Camogie Association sit, btw?

Mea culpa for my mistakes, which ould barney grunt seems to think is the biggest sin ever.

But here is the crux…action! Not idle words from old-timers stuck to the past.

Isn't it wonderful to see 'women power'/'player power', opponents on the field standing together off the field, forcing the GAA because the CA is part and parcel of Gaelic games in Ireland, no matter what way you look at it, to postpone that Munster Final? Fair play to the lassies of Cork and Waterford, and f$$k Wimbledon!

If the GAA and the CA are so detached and separate, why is Orla Jacob part and parcel of the Sunday Game? Answer me that! She's great, btw!

Btw also, I hope nobody on here still votes for De Va Lera. He died along time ago. The comely maidens dancing at the crossroads can now wear pants! And hurl! His ideals have 'almost' died, too!"
I assume you mean Ursula Jacob?

Madness how this is still a rule in 2025 but all this faux outage.... How many people giving out have been to a Camogie game in the last five years or in their lives for that matter?

They have Camogie Congress to sort out issues, why was it not done before. Now they are messing with Summer schedule. It's woke nonsense to blame men for this mess. The ladies are well able to look after themselves . I support shorts but I know my opinions are not relevant.

It's a disgrace and the players should be able to choose. But there is a lot of people out there complaining about it and they wouldn't know what a hurl looked like.

Then again, people love giving out. Ironic really as I'm doing exactly that right now ;-)

In fairness the principal of whether the current rule for attire while playing camogie is reasonable, unreasonable or absurd really transcends the game or even sport in general.
Many people not interested in sport would find it absurd that participants in an activity are required by rule to wear attire that they don't want to wear and many not interested in camogie would reasonably in my opinion wish to support the women involved by voicing their opposition to the rule.

Of all the posters from all the counties, it happens to be one from Leitrim who is worried about players being paid! You couldn't make it up!

Don't fret yourself the issues are entirely different. And nobody is going to be offering poor ould Leitrim players any dosh to run after a ball or swing a stick any time soon, any time ever even.

See, the players are entitled to stand up for themselves! Reference 'Newbridge or Nowhere' or 'Corrigan Park' earlier this summer. If the players don't stand up for themselves they'll allow someone to dictate to them and may even end up not playing! Reference No Leitrim Team take the field in this 2025 league just gone! Players can't just roll over and allow stuff like that to happen. But the Leitrim players did! The Irish girls are a bit tougher it seems.

Don't know what your gripe is with Leitrim but you come across as a bitter sort of a guy. Chill out a bit, there's more to life.

Away with ya back to your Roscommon lair. You think you're hilarious but it's all rather pathetic.

I normally would not reply to a first time poster, but I want the HS world to know that I am not one bit bitter. I actually enjoy myself immensely here on HS. The killing thing is that I would loved to have seen Leitrim beat Kildare, who I am not too fond of (perennial bottlers, for such talented players).

That the Leitrim posters associate anything negative about the county with having to come from Roscommon, cracks me up. I fatten on it actually. Besides seeing Leitrim win soem games, I would also love to see Roscommon win something. However, I have not one bit of affiliation with that county at all.

But keep believing it, Leitrim. It contributes greatly to my enjoyment of HS.

You'll need to reinforce your basement if you keep cracking up so.
