Plenty of Galway lads throwing shapes against the Dubs, no where to be seen today. Another handy title for the cats. How many Galway lads would have Kilkenny 15?

It's like watching a poor challenge match behind close doors.
Galway are very poor. It's hard to believe Dublin, Galway, Laois and Kildare are still in the Championship and a team like Clare are gone.

Congrats KK, embarased by Galway display.
We need to consider the 14v14 marking game in future.

no blame on any Galway player or keeper, the system used by management is not correct,
to be clear

Time to mix-'n'-match the Prov groups - say:

Group A: 3 Muns + 3 Lein
Group B: The Rest (5, or maybe make it 6)

Muns Final: Highest Muns team in each group
Lein Final: Highest Lein team in each group

AIC KO: 2 Prov Champs + top 3 Group A + top 3 Group B
Prov Champs get byes to SFs if qualifying twice (very likely)

A team like Clare? Clare won 1 game out of 4 in Munster, and that was the last game against a Limerick team that had already qualified for the Munster final.

The management that has most success in Galway in 35 years.

With very little coming through and our best players mostly past their best I worry for the future.

If we don't have the talent it doesn't matter who the manager is. Donoghue has his work cut out. Overall we have hit most of our targets this year (avoid relegation, leinster final) I think most would be happy with that but our lack of fight and our lack of skill and poor performances and hammerings we took is disappointing. I didn't mind losing today if we kept with in 4 or to 5 points and actually played well.

We only made a slight comeback because Kilkenny turned off

Why don't the tv analysts state the obvious about Galway's playing plan?
It makes no sense. Passing ball in to opposition with no one marking them.
KK had a very poor final in fairness. Concannon was great to get the goal.
Congrats to KK
Cork and Limerick for the final. Should be massive.

I thought Kilkenny's shooting was pretty poor at times today actually. They should have been much further ahead at half-time and kept Galway hanging in there for longer than they should have.

Ah stop lad will ya. You can't defend the indefensible. Leinster hurling is dead...And you know it. Still fancy ye to do a number on Limerick though

Fully agree. The Cats are in a good place.

As regards tier 1 counties Clare did only beat a B team with nothing to play for. A bit like us really. Both of us had injury issues this season ok though. Galway beat ourselves and Dublin. Dublin beat us too.

Kilkenny will win the All Ireland.

Great excitement in the Munster final, but the hurling was actually very poor on display.

The Cats look hungry this year.

I'm not defending the indefensible, I stated a fact.
I'll tell you what's indefensible, having 2 lopsided qualifying groups (Munster and Leinster) for the All-Ireland Championship. One has 6 teams with relegation, the other 5 teams with no relegation.
Get rid of the provincial championships as qualifying groups for AI championship, and have equal number, seeded groups.

While the cats are still the strongest they are no way near their greatest and this is an obvious opportunity to the others, step up. Kilkenny have the knack of winning and this came with easy passages to All-Ireland semis plus the believe of the rest that they cannot beat them. The exception is Wexford who always believe they can take them. Galway are example today until they went at them but too late.
