The GAA said its needs extra revenue for stadia yet that's why it needs GAAGo/+ etc yet it has pledged a pitiful amount to Casement Park and has shown no interest in increasing its contribution in fact in tried to claim the €50 million the Irish Government as an increase in its contribution. It has increased tickets prices and made excess revenue but put none of this extra money towards Casement Park. The GAA has long been run in a very selfish manner . The GAA is putting increasing burdens on hard pressed supporters to maximise profits to generate this excess revenue. REDANDBLACK30 (Down) - Posts: 1712 - 08/07/2025 16:45:51 2624434 Link 0 |
Well said and I guarantee most of the whiners are mot even members of their local clubs. €100 for a final ticket! About 10 pints in Temple Bar.

They won't ever do family tickets for all ireland fi also because demand is too high. Just like irfu and provinces in rugby do deals/family tickets for lwss popular games and don't for new zealand tests or England tests

Tell me this and tell me no more. What EXACTLY has the gaels of Antrim offered to put towards this project apart from the land? Why should the GAA put anymore to this project without a contribution from Antrim GAA? In fact my county wants a few euro as well... why should we let that go to Casement as well? How about we plant a magic money trees? Would that keep you happy? On your second point... refer to my earlier post above... Square_B (Leitrim) - Posts: 1423 - 08/07/2025 19:03:55 2624473 Link 1 |
Guys . This forum is about attendance figures for 2025. It's not about ticket prices and how the GAA spend their money. Open up a new forum if yous want to discuss that topic please. Let's stick to the topic of each forum please. DublinBrian (Dublin) - Posts: 19 - 08/07/2025 20:02:26 2624485 Link 1 |
Looks like a very big crowd for Donegal v Meath might be close to a sellout now. Proudroyal (Meath) - Posts: 394 - 08/07/2025 22:44:43 2624506 Link 0 |
Will never forget the 1991 All-Ireland. Two ladies in the Hogan Stand knitting while the game was in progress.

Yes I heard from friends that Meath will be empty on Sunday. Great to see the royal supporters getting back behind their county again. Like the 80s and 90s. Fair play to the Donegal supporters too. They have a lot of travelling to do.

Be interesting to see how many will attend the Saturday Semi final. Be nowhere near the Sunday attendance Kerry don't travel in large numbers for the Semis . Tyrone allways did , but not in recent years. Hopefully that will change this week DublinBrian (Dublin) - Posts: 19 - 09/07/2025 08:55:49 2624546 Link 0 |
