Wexford Football 2025

(Oldest Posts First)

Best of luck to John Hegarty and the Wexford Footballers in their quest for promotion this year! Hopefully the new rules might suit our style of play, although we aren't blessed with long range shooters it has to be said. Our 45 conversion rate when Brooks was out was poor. Any word on how some of the new lads have got on in challenge games?

Coleman seems to be out according to reports, Brooks might not be no1 either, new rules should suit scored well last year and other teams having less bodies back will hopefully create even more space,

Coleman is injured. He will be a loss. Looking forward to Saturday night now. Hope a good crowd stays on after the hurling.

Coleman only guaranteed starter to come on to the team, cian hughes when he fit maybe
Best of luck to the footballers, promotion is a very realistic target and a day out in croker be super for them

Conor Kinsella? Dylan Cooke Leonard looks a good prospect too.

I a way we couldn't have asked for a better first game but unfortunately I think the two toughest games, Limerick and Longford are both away, that said as we have discovered nothing ever goes to plan in Div4

Great win for the lads. Unlike the hurlers handling and other basics were excellent. Hard to know whether we were really as good as the scoreline suggested or were London just really poor. We have the strongest panel we have had in years. Thought the 2 Hughes, Byrne and Sean Nolan were particularly impressive, although in all honesty everyone played very well. And we had a string of players to bring on who didnt weaken the team also.
Tough game next up, we will know better where we are at after that.

A decent performance against a poor London team, but great to put up a big score, although it could have been a lot more but for poor goalkeeping.
