Replying To JimmyNail:  "Congratulations lads on your well deserved promotion ye were robbed by the penalty decision In Carrick last year but dusted yourselves down and made no mistake this time. Hope ye push on in division 3 next year , management and players leaving on masse gave us no chance of competing in division 3 this year but ye have a team capable capable of staying staying up next year at tthe very least."
Thanks JimmyNail. Hope you can regroup and bounce straight back up next year.

He has built a good panel. Hopefully we will get the result Saturday evening. Looking forward to it now.

My first time ever seen a defender score 5 points from play, doesn't happen too often if ever?, great display by Martin o connor, sheehan very good too, forwards weren't great, subs made a huge difference,

It was good to see the lads dig deep, though Tipp were out on their feet in the last quarter. Tipp had to win the game and approached it that way, and in fairness to the lads we started they competed pretty well overall. The 3 lads definitely made a difference when they came on ok, but Cian Hughes looks like a young lad with a big future. Martin O Connor was outstanding again, was a big loss the last couple of years.
And for a lad who over the years hasn't always looked like he was interested in doing the hard yards, and who is now getting on in years, Ben Brosnans workrate was really impressive also.

it will be limerick in croke park, that will be tough, they building a new team , and my uncle down there says they happy with how its going, and they confident if they meet us again they will put it up to us, they had a total off day in the league game

They still have to beat Waterford, and their record against them in the League isn't perfect. A bit like ours over the last few years up til last year

They only beat Waterford by a goal in 2020, a goal and 3 points in 2019, a single point in 2018, 6 points in 2017. They do usually beat them, but don't usually hammer them.

Beat them by 11 points in the Championship in 2020. Beat them by 18 points in the Championship in 2021. Haven't played them since.

All a moot point anyway, since even a draw or just a one-point win for Limerick next weekend will mean it's them who we play in the final.

How is Sean Nolan? What is his injury?

Also saw Shane Pettit on crutches, is he hurt bad?

Well done to the lads. Only team in Football (even then only one other team in Hurling) to win all their games. That's not an easy task anymore. Limerick will be a tough nut in the final. Its unfortunate that both teams are then out in the Championship the weekend after. The league finals are not going to do anything for either team, I understand the argument in favor of having them but there has to be a way to allow a longer break to the championship. Both teams will go for it next weekend and then have to face a team further up the divisions who have a weekend off.

handy win as expected , lads keep putting there hands up, its going to be hard to know what the starting 15 will be v limerick, but hegarty is looking to building a team for the future he has not just being concerned with getting promotion, , he has brought several young lads into squad from "non football" clubs and getting used to training playing at the level, over all its a young squad, we now know who we will meet in 3rd div and while it will be a big step up we can look forward to it, now 2 big games to come limerick and laois

Congratulations to John and the lads, their attitude was excellent all over the pitch. There weren't many of us in the crowd of 200 odds, but the lads played as if there were thousands.
I think the first 15 is pretty settled, but boy has he some very good options off the bench now, while lads in their early 20s have got good experience also, and are good prospects for the future. I don't think I've felt this positive about Wexford Football in many years tbh.
