As it is we haven't, so I'd go, assuming everyone except Shane and Darragh Brooks are fit- D Brooks M O'Connor, G Sheehan, M Furlong, G Malone, E Nolan, E Porter, T Byrne, N Hughes, L Coleman, P Hughes, M Rossiter, K O'Grady, S Nolan, B Brosnan/Ryan. And ask Ben to empty the tank for the 1st 35 minutes and then bring Mini on, tell Ben play like he did against Tipp. Or the other way around. Subs on would be 4 of D Furlong, Higgins, Brooks, Carty, C Hughes, Kinsella, L O'Connor, depending who looked tired or injured and what line they played in. And definitely start rotating in lads around the 45 minute mark. Have 3 lads on by around the 50 minute mark. Then 1 more around the mid 50s. Keep 1 back for injuries." Eoghan Nolan definitely out. Whoever is listed at 6, or any other position, doesn't really matter if we continue to leave ourselves exposed when the opposition run at us. It's been a problem the last few games, we are capable of running up a decent score ( sometimes with limited possession) but leave ourselves exposed at the back. The last 2 games, Carlow & Fermanagh, we seemed to lack pace when retreating. Hopefully John and his management team can solve this problem. BTW, this isn't meant as a criticism, just my own observations!! BTW, anyone else see the div.1 league final on Fri? Cian Hughes only played second half but was enough to get a man of the match. was at league final yesterday evening, good game very enjoyable, was worried how club football would adopt to the new rules but from what i saw there is no problems, both teams did very well with them, no doubt players will need to be very fit to take full advantage of them, glynn looked like they were going to win the game at one stage but ran out of steam Stmunnsriver (Wexford) - Posts: 2991 - 07/06/2025 11:55:24 2615472 Link

Pity he's been out of the county scene so much through injury for the past year or two, but the prospect of having him back there next year is definitely exciting. I would agree the half back line is being overwhelmed as we are not staying with the runners coming from the midfield back and that's where other teams with pace can hurt us, Glen does to other teams what they do to us but I think the problem is for us is that we don't have the pace in the middle third to cut down those runners. zinny (Wexford) - Posts: 1995 - 07/06/2025 15:41:18 2615522 Link

well noone saw that coming!!!!! the 1st reaction when i texted the result to a friend was "feck they must be some bad,, they are poor the div 4 now so we cant get carried away, but there was major pluses for me, thought kinsella was really impressive , we were able take our scores today, that was the difference, hope we get limerick now, revenge would be sweet Stmunnsriver (Wexford) - Posts: 2991 - 08/06/2025 15:32:48 2615758 Link
Great result today, granted Antrim didn't seem up for it at all! Good performances all over the pitch. Coleman excellent. Hope Martin O Connor is OK, looked a bad ankle injury he was in alot of pain going off. Hope Mark Rossiter was just cramp or something. Also hope Tom Byrne will be back the next day. Yes, very impressive for most of the game, except for the last 10 or so minutes when N Hughes was subbed & we really struggled to win anything around the middle, but the game had lost all it's competitive edge at that stage. Super attacking display though, and in this era of "efficiency " the stars would be really impressive, scoring so much with only 3 ( I think) wides. I thought Gav Sheehan was superb on McCann, he would have been their main attacker. Elsewhere, a very composed performance all over the park. Hopefully Martin O Connor isn't too serious but it didn't look good. Another road-trip next weekend, fingers crossed for a favourable draw !! I don't have actual stats but I'd guess around 50 / 50 on our own kick outs over the whole game. Lost 3 in a row in 1st half, gave Antrim a goal with a mis-cued effort late on.
