When you look at Coughlan his performance wasn't to bad..he scored a point,he gave the bull a brilliant pass for the goal..u think a man who is struggling is Diarmaid..gave away some silly frees, his mistake when pulling on ball in front of old stand lead to a point..he isn't hitting frees as well as he has in 2023..I might be only person thinking he didn't have a good 2024 either. I've said before I'd like to see hss as yes at 6 and cahal at 7..think limerick look better with Dan at full back but don't know if 3 changes will be made at the back..donohue at midfield with English..I'd go with hego or tom cian and reidy..with Peter or Aidan O'Connor with o brien and gillane..think Murphy deserves another chance and Nash definitely starts.. That would leave Mike Casey being very unlucky Limerick will have to be better than tipp match to get a result against Waterford but I think their defence if ran at can be exposed..hopefully a positive day with two very hard matches on the way..

no mention of injuries, I assume Barry Murphy and Peter Casey must be carrying knocks when they didnt make the match day squad Delighted to see Sean Finn back. I presume Barry Murphy must have picked up a knock or something (hopefully nothing major as he will be needed against Cork).
Looks like a good strong team which could see a number or positional switches throughout the game if required depending on where Waterford locate their dangermen.

Limerick will be happy after that Good win but Waterford gave them a tough workout and Limerick could never relax And still plenty to improve While Lynch and O Brien and Gillane were the standouts I thought the Limerick full back line were quietly excellent. Waterford hardly had a sniff of a goal and Finn looked good Was it just me or did it seem like Limerick could feel hard done by the ref? Waterford seemed to get more soft old frees and Lynch in particular couldn't buy a free in the second half I thought some of Limericks tackling was excellent but then they were penalized The Cork game will be a belter.

Great result for limerick..I'd have taken this win at 6 yesterday evening..a good hard battle and some players getting a lot of minutes into the legs.. The huge plus was the performance of Finn and Dan in full back line, seemed way more solid and confident..hayes controlled the middle and Nash was his usual self and a real weapon going forward..Casey rock solid..Diarmaid had started well but yellow was silly and kiely made a big call taking him off.. Donohue and English went very well together..Tom was very good and could have had more scores..cian was outstanding, the vision he has is crazy..gearoid had a tough evening but came up with the score of the match in 2nd half.o brien and good lane are really working well and I think goals will come from them and it will be a hard day for a team when it happens.the work rate of reidy is phenomenal..Nicky looked sharper again and made a decent save from Bennett. Great to get Donovan and o neill back on the field and they didn't look out of place..Coughlan and o Connor got 2 very good scores and again didn't look out of place. It's all positive but still plenty of work on shooting to be done.I also thought limerick were harshly treated with some frees..tackling was excellent but not in refs eyes but result got. Now the huge match v cork on 18th,bring it on..this could be game of summer,a lot of big battles and maybe revenge on the limerick players minds.

I thought hegarty worked like an absolute dog in that second half, he was up and down the pitch.

good win limerick seem to cranking up the gears . prob should have won by 10 points but a combination of some wayward shooting and ref giving limerick nothing ....the worst decision of the match was in the second half when one waterford player pushed another waterford player in the back and he gave a free to waterford. great to see darragh and cathal coming on and looking sharp and is going to make the competition for places very good. shane o brien and brian hayes look the two best inside forwards in the country at the moment. onwards and upwards from here.

Yesterday answered a lot of the questions about the spine of the Limerick team - seems clear now that it's Dan at FB, Hayes CB, WOD mid, Lynch CF and Gillane and O Brien 2 man full forward line With plenty of options outside of them - Finn, Tom, Mike Casey, Byrnes, Nash, Coughlan, Reidy, Barry Murphy, Cathal O Neill, and DOD. And hopefully Peter Casey Reidy in his post game interview mentioned Hannon being back. I don't know if he mistakenly thought Hannon had come on before the end? Or was mixing him up with DOD? Cork game now the big one. Neither will want to go into their last game needing a win, especially Limerick as no matter where Clare are when we play them they will be up for us. Both will have scores to settle and neither will want to give any advantage to the other ahead of possible future match ups. While our backs really tightened up yesterday I am still nervous about how our backs match up to the Cork forwards. Cork can score points like we do, but can score goals easier than us.

Congrats and a great team. If I were Limerick I would not be complaining too much about the ref. Yere Johnnie red card would have sent Byrnes off while on a yellow for a second high tackle. A new twist to the rules. A warning after a yellow. If Limerick were playing with 14 Waterford would have won this match. The best team won and are the best team in the country.

He looks like he is doing an extra line of defence at times. Do they have him in mind to help with some of the Cork bombs. I also thought we found frees hard to come by. Hegarty or Hayes rarely get frees as they always stay on their feet and Lynch was being held a couple days of times and seemed to be looking right at the ref and wondering why he wasn't getting his free.

Limerick looked a very serious team on Saturday night skill use of ball can hardly look at anyone else for AI bar Cork perhaps that should be some game next week.

last year, I thought Limerick would play Clare 3 times for the AI - they ended up playing them twice, beating them both times, but Clare were AI Champions Whats the odds that this year Limerick end up playing Cork 3 times for the AI? A lot of hurling to come for sure, and if Limerick lose to Cork the next day then it will be squeaky bum time with an all or nothing 50:50 game (regardless of whats at stake for Clare, Clare always put it up to Limerick) v Clare but right now it looks like Cork Limerick in that order for the AI with Kilkenny as dark horses and Clare always in with a shout Really hard to see anybody else doing it

Very happy with the Limerick performance in Waterford on Saturday night. Our use of the ball was excellent. Some lovely passes to men in space. Breaking the tackles and running off the ball was much improved even compared to the Tipperary game. The hunger shown in both games (i.e. demonstrated by the pressuring, harrying, crowding and blocking) especially by the mid-field and half forwards is nearly at the level it was 2 years ago in my opinion really excites me.

Limerick looked Champions elect no doubt Cork are real danger though could not but admire Limerick there team work ball skills ect and they look settled and fresh Hayes at 6 is a must you would imagine no matter where D Hannon is at in fitness. I think his legs were not as good last year he's still a fine hurler though. Unless we beat Tipp and come to Limerick with most if not all of our team that won AI I cannot see us having any chance of beating Limerick

In the Munster Championship getting out is all that counts. If you offered any team the option of a guaranteed 3rd place now , but no Munster final appearance they would bite your hand off. Munster is only half way through, plenty time for every county to turn the table on its head. In other years we have been one score away from elimination on the last day and somehow ended up in a Munster final, that's how tight it is and that's how tight it will be this year.

Limerick Cork tickets are like gold dust, should be a cracker. I see the Clare Tipp Match still has tickets available on all terraces. That is so surprising with such a small capacity, this match should be an absolute belter and its do or die. Have Tipp supporters completely lost interest in supporting their team or what's the issue. This is the biggest match of the Munster championship to date with what's at stake.
