Replying To opa01:  "Mad how Cavan lives in the heads of Monaghan people.

We haven't won Ulster since 2020 which they try to degrade. No All-Ireland in 73 years as they've constantly pointed out but still they're camped on here trying to put down Cavan.

Even Clerkin was "trolling" Cavan on the radio by not mentioning us.

What is it that makes them so obsessed with Cavan football?

Ol Muskrat must be smarting from his Tesla & Bitcoin losses due to his hero Trump's mad tariffs as he drives his Tesla around his bitcoin mines in the United Parishes. He's even had to limit his Twitter account and stop posting to the Cavan Co Board account."
If you look at the Monaghan Forum you will see how many Cavan supporters are obsessed with Monaghan lol.

Best draw now would be:

Louth or Meath from Provincial winners.
Clare from Provincial losers.
Roscommon or Monaghan from tier 3.

Nightmare would be:

Galway
Armagh or Donegal
Dublin

In all honesty what difference does it really make who we have in our group…?

We would be far better off in the Taltainn Cup.. I doubt we would win it but 3 hammerings in this group will do nothing for the young players on the panel and will surely hasten the retirements of some of our older players… Hopefully we can be in some way competitive……

yep savage draw. With all the rule changes this is the year for upsets. Yeah we are no kingpins atm but get a win out of the 3 and you never know. Its happened several times already in previous years

We could potentially have been drawn in a group with Louth/Meath, Clare and Monaghan.

So no, not losing all 3 regardless.

All those 4 would beat cavan.

Based on what??

We've beaten Monaghan last 3 championship meetings. By highest margin in half a century last season too.

We'd be 60/40 to beat Clare.

Meath closer to 50/50.

The Mayo game Sunday is realistically your best chance of an upset..
Stop Ryan o Donoghue and ye will have a good chance..

Tommy Conroy will probaly feature, good for a few scores but not as accurate as O Donghue. Paddy Durcan could be back too. O Shea is a good target man inside but not a natural finisher.

At the end of day, Mayo should have beaten Galway. They panic in tight games. It was the runners from deep that destroyed us this time last year. But hopefully keep it tight and you never know what can happen with Mayo

I wonder how our injury list is looking; by my count from the last day Paddy Lynch, McKiernan, Killian Clarke, Luke Fortune, James Smith, Cormac O'Reilly, Oisin Brady, Darragh Lovett, Conor Madden.

At the end of the day we were massive underdogs going into the Galway game . Galway we're meant to beat us out the gate by half time sure . We don't panic in tight games but we let our guard down.

We also tend to play to level of opposition . Cavan you are decent team and we won't underestimate you unlike the Galwegiom above underestimating mayo as per usual .

At least you can't park the bus like you did in last years dour awful game .

Tommy conroy won't feature but Paddy Durcan will.

Massive underdogs is a strech. Ye were playing in Castlebar against the biggest rivals. Mayo are a divisiom 1 team and made a league final. Galway without Walsh and Comer also. Mcstay is there 3 years and hasn't much to show.

I see Paul Faloon is refereeing on Sunday, the same man who reffed the Louth and Cork league games. So plenty of physicality, pulling, dragging etc will be let go. Hopefully Cavan can take advantage of this
