I thought the Kildare backs gave an exhibition on how to defend without fouling. Hopefully they can repeat at the next level.

Huge congrats to everyone involved with Kildare..this hasn't happened over night and is a long time in planning..next year will be hard but it would be great to see them manage to stay in Liam mc..
I've seen a few matches this year and have been hugely impressed.enjoy the next few days and give the dubs a rattle next week.

Well done to Kildare, aside from the first weekend they were by far the best team in the competition.

I thought after losing the league final and then the first round against Kerry, it was going to be same old same old for Kildare but they proved us all wrong. I think a key point in the championship was when Carlow clawed it back and pulled level with Kildare in the 2nd half, Kildare scored the next 6 points in the match and won by 6. That must have given them huge belief.

Great to see a new team get a chance to go up and try to compete in the Leinster championship. Hopefully our lads can be there or thereabouts next year.

Offaly were in 5 Leinster finals from 1901 to 1969. Them getting to Leinster finals in the 1980s wasn't a new thing. Them winning AIs was.
Kildare have never been in a Leinster SHF ever. They didnt even have a team in the Leinster Championship for many of those years. Think that's what the OP meant.

Played laois twice this year. Beat them in league in Portlaoise & relagated them to div 2 for next year.
Played them in Championship & they scored a goal with the last puck to draw with us ( don't need to go into the problems with that goal)
I would say we are the better team overall but doesn't matter as we both lost to Kildare & many congrats to them

Well done Kildare on a great win, I thought their defence was superb. Will Newbridge be able to cope with a double header next with Kildare playing Offaly in the football!
