Replying To Doylerwex:  "We don't but safe enough to say they'd have won albeit a closer game.

2023 was a good indicator.

Not that we've played all that often but it's amazing we've only managed one win and two draws against them in the championship since the first meeting in 2002.

Hammered in 05/06

Draw in 13, well beaten after extra time

Draw/win in 14

The rest are a bit of a blur to be honest. Is it 3 more times and lost them all?"
It's way more than 3. We lost to them 5 times since Davy took over in 2017 anyway.

And in that game in Nowlan Park both himself and Chin let their markers carry the ball out without running after them, which gave them the platform for their win in the middle quarters of the game.

Id agree with you workrate dropped in the second half Kilkenny came out with ball after ball and were allowed to carry it

In 18 and 20 they bet us with ease think both were around 7/8 pts, 21 in Thurles in the qualifiers we basically gave ourselves an uphill mountain to climb after about 20 mins, think we went 12 points down and clawed it back a bit after that.

Another casualty. Richie Lawlor out with an ankle injury.
Sourse-- Harriers official.
How unlucky can a team get.

Our record against Dublin since about 2008 is also similar, beaten in 09, draw in 13 lost replay, lost in 14, hammered in 16, draw in 19, lost 22 and 23 and threw away the game last year. Won in 18 ,I think after a Rory wonder score from about 90 yards.

O'Donnell or no O'Donnell, not looking forward to going up there this year, the games always turn into a dog fight.

Dipping in here lads, Wexford were blessed to have Matthew O'Hanlon, Liam Og, O'Keefe and all 3 can walk away with their head held high.
If I was picking any Wexford team in the last 10+ years they would be the first 3 names I would have written down. Warriors with no ego who would die for the jersey.
Dublin hat on, I worried more when Liam Og got the ball than any other Wexford forward. He always had a goal instinct and if not he made something happen for somebody else, or won a free. It was never all about him. He was the most under rated Wexford forward I always thought, along with Paul Morris.
A rebuild is beginning and if Rossiter can keep Wexford in Division 1 of the league he will have been off to a good start. It will be a new look Wexford without the above 3 and Liam Ryan.
Wexford need new faces now to stake a claim to the jersey.
Best luck for the year ahead.

Think we only lost by 4 or so in 18. 20 we were just not prepared right all year. We only ended up losing by 3 in 21. Should've been switched on from the start and wedve won. Lack of bench cost us in 22.

I'm even more annoyed about that to be honest.

You could argue we should have won all if those bar 16.

There's never much between us but we come out on the wrong side far too often.

The last three meetings are the most frustrating.

Wexford park in 22, on the attack in the closing seconds and panicked.

Croke park 23, all the possession and probably managed more wides than scores.

The less said about last year's capitulation the better.

Anyway moving on.... We're going to have a new look side for the league. We'll be under pressure but need to be fighting tooth and nail for everything. Performances are key and I can live with going down if we're consistently competitive and find a couple of players ready for championship.

Presume the team will be named tomorrow morning as was the case last year, hopefully it gets the go ahead on account of the weather.

Hopefully we don't get too much damage up this way.

Don't know but he is probably going to be out for a while by the sound of it.

I have to call it out there must be a really bad mentality in the wexford squad. Getting really tired of listening to players getting injured. They are around long enough and should know there own bodies at this stage. There is a split season and surely to God they have enough time for the bodies to heel. Ever since 2019 that wexford squad they must have holidayed the whole world. As Damien fitzhenry pointed out one time that if a squad is not winning many matches there wash bags get bigger than there gear bags and let's face it that is what has happened this wexford squad. There is a few players around around the enniscorthy district who have kept there feet on the ground . As for the rest of them they will have alot of time now to continue there holidays !

Lawlor named on the bench.

Disappointed to see Molloy on the bench along with Shane Reck.

Nervous for that defence, and a forward unit seriously lacking in physicality.

Would like to have seen Kennedy have a go in the goal too
