No one is losing sleep if Irish accents are slowly changing Everything changes over time anyway, the accents we have today are not the accents people had hundreds of years ago And I dont see any change, at least in Donegal. Donegal people wouldn't be going "up" to Dublin though? It's like Galway people I know who say how's all "down" In Mayo…Mayo is up. I know plenty here in south Mayo who also say "are ya going down to Belmullet" ??? Again up to Belmullet. Are you going down to the game in Ennis? Which would be correct.
