Tomsmith here

I dont come from a Hurling County , but my feeling after yesterdays game Limerick must drop to No 3 or indeed No 4 in Ireland .
I take it is a toss,,,, but I feel
Clare is No 1
I take it that Cork is No2 best Ireland Hurling team
I take it that Killkenny could be No 3
and you have Limerick , Galway Tipperary in the mix fo the 4th best team in Ireland
I feel myself that Limerick could be lucky to be ranked 4th in 2025 as you could have a resurgence
in Tipperary, or Galway.
Indeed in the team of the year how Limerick got one of these nominations I dont know .
But then the selectors are all very experienced people who know s what to look out for

You aren't from a hurling county but more importantly obviously dont even follow hurling. Tipp and Galway didn't even make it out of the Round Robins and neither beat a single county who did make it out of the Round robins in a championship game this year.

Stop it. You've put Limerick in the same bracket as Tipp & Galway, two teams who didn't get out of their province.
Limerick will still be the favorites next year in my opinion and will be the team to beat.

Limerick and now Cork are top of the pile and i say that this morning after Clare won AI but realistically you have 5 teams in Munster and at least 4 in Leinster that can win it if you get a run and avoid injuries.

Cork this year could have been out this year also LK last year good and all as they are its a lottery

Roll on 2025

Completely wrong to put Limerick in same bracket as Tipp and Wexford but also completely irrelevant. Being ranked number 1 is all that matters. Limerick don't care if they are ranked 2 or 4 or 6 today.

You're a Limerick supporter when Wexford aren't playing.

As Tom points out, Gillane should be a certain all-star at no13. Definitely a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth with that 'outfit' they named last night.

You don't need all those capital letters Tom.
3rd? Nah, Limerick would do well to beat Carlow or Antrim I think. Finished they are I tell you, FINISHED.

Have been since the 90s tbh. No harm in it. I watch alot of hurling. And also other sports. If the team I support isn't playing I always pick one to support in the game I'm watching, maybe even put a bet on it. Otherwise it's hard to get excited about a game you have no skin in.
By the way I have supported Cork in many games I've watched. In the 90s, 00s, and teens I supported them against Offaly, Kilkenny and Tipp. Now I still support Cork if they are playing Offaly or Tipp, but for some strange reason I find myself supporting Kilkenny against Cork these days. Not sure why tbh. I don't watch Offaly v Tipp games.
Going back to the beginning for me Cork, Kilkenny and Offaly were always seen as our biggest rivals, so I'm not sure why I've only ever supported Tipp in one game in my life, which ironically enough I watched in Sullivans in Kilsheelan. Mighty atmosphere!
