Mickey Harte - Where To Next.?

Replying To ForeverBlue2:  "No point talking Ollie about what could have happened… it didn't happen and you were a lot closer to the drop than anywhere near going up… Ye won a couple of games in Ardee that could only be described as a poor club ground and should definitely never be allowed host inter county games.. Cavan only won the game by a point but were far the better team and we are no great shakes… if Louth had concentrated more that day on football they might have stood a better chance of winning…"
I have nothing against Cavan. But you come as across a bitter lemon. I will leave it at that.

Replying To Saynothing:  "Louth are streets ahead of Cavan. How do you make it that Div 2 is stronger next year? Donegal and Armagh both were in Div 2 last year and the 2 teams that replaced them are weaker. Louth have a great chance of going up."
Louth are streets ahead of nobody and anyone who thinks they are knows very little about football.. The 2 teams coming up are a lot stronger than the 2 that went down and anyone coming down from Division 1 would surely fancy their chances with Louth…

Not one bit bitter …. telling it as it is and if that doesn't suit your view so be it… Louth like Cavan are average at best… and nowhere near Division 1 standard…!

You just proved my point. Thank you. You should change your name to ForeverBitterBlue2.

Just saying it as it is…. I would love both Cavan and Louth to be in Division 1 but one has to be realistic when all is said and done….

Ollie I wouldn't be getting to worried about foreverbitter2 as he just gives out all the time on other topics. Maybe Tomsmith made a new account.

Some people ( usually snowflakes ) just can't handle a bit of reality…..they always confuse it with criticism

Good move for Offaly. He was good for Louth and I have no doubt Offaly will improve from his experience. They have some nice players coming through from underage.

Harte has been appointed as 'joint-manager' of Offaly. It seems a bit odd, the 'joint' bit. Surely there has to be a 'number one' in team management. Who picks the team? Who decides when and who to substitute in important games?

I can't see that being a long term arrangement... and the man before yesterday will be the one to loose out.

Bit demeaning for the current manager to have a lad parachuted into the thing. I'd be going walkies if it were me and say thank you bye bye

Think thats part of the reason it was done. Alot of senior players unhappy with the current manager but CB were reluctant to give into player power. From all accounts Declan Kelly is the one and only main man in all his jobs so far so cant see it ending well

Seems losing to NY isn't a sackable offence any more....

Offaly are really "taking the Mickey" with that appointment. Hard to see it working out well with the dual management role.
