I have nothing against Cavan. But you come as across a bitter lemon. I will leave it at that.

Louth are streets ahead of nobody and anyone who thinks they are knows very little about football.. The 2 teams coming up are a lot stronger than the 2 that went down and anyone coming down from Division 1 would surely fancy their chances with Louth…

Not one bit bitter …. telling it as it is and if that doesn't suit your view so be it… Louth like Cavan are average at best… and nowhere near Division 1 standard…!

You just proved my point. Thank you. You should change your name to ForeverBitterBlue2.

Just saying it as it is…. I would love both Cavan and Louth to be in Division 1 but one has to be realistic when all is said and done….

Ollie I wouldn't be getting to worried about foreverbitter2 as he just gives out all the time on other topics. Maybe Tomsmith made a new account.

Some people ( usually snowflakes ) just can't handle a bit of reality…..they always confuse it with criticism

Well well well... did anyone see that one coming? Square_B (Leitrim) - Posts: 1024 - 19/08/2024 17:41:50 2565867 Link 1 |
Good luck to Mickey Harte and Offaly next year. Saynothing (Tyrone) - Posts: 2150 - 19/08/2024 18:21:47 2565877 Link 0 |
Good move for Offaly. He was good for Louth and I have no doubt Offaly will improve from his experience. They have some nice players coming through from underage.

Well done Michael Duignan and Offaly. Good luck Mickey. Great warrior. 19616609 (Louth) - Posts: 1637 - 20/08/2024 01:20:04 2565917 Link 1 |
Harte has been appointed as 'joint-manager' of Offaly. It seems a bit odd, the 'joint' bit. Surely there has to be a 'number one' in team management. Who picks the team? Who decides when and who to substitute in important games? Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2654 - 20/08/2024 08:36:03 2565931 Link 0 |
I can't see that being a long term arrangement... and the man before yesterday will be the one to loose out.

Bit demeaning for the current manager to have a lad parachuted into the thing. I'd be going walkies if it were me and say thank you bye bye eslinchickenmaryland (Leitrim) - Posts: 274 - 20/08/2024 09:04:26 2565936 Link 0 |
Ah sure Mickey Harte just loves Offaly football… " it was always my dream to manage Offaly……….." ForeverBlue2 (Cavan) - Posts: 3027 - 20/08/2024 10:08:59 2565950 Link 2 |
Think thats part of the reason it was done. Alot of senior players unhappy with the current manager but CB were reluctant to give into player power. From all accounts Declan Kelly is the one and only main man in all his jobs so far so cant see it ending well

Seems losing to NY isn't a sackable offence any more....

Offaly are really "taking the Mickey" with that appointment. Hard to see it working out well with the dual management role. letsgetgoing (Roscommon) - Posts: 631 - 20/08/2024 12:17:41 2565975 Link 0 |
