Replying To beano:  "Yeah going purely by Fethards X updates, there were a couple of times where they mentioned the scoreboard differing from their own account (clubs usually have reliable members updating the scores), including when they thought they were three up in 2nd half of ET, but a Bunclody goal seemingly put them one ahead. Strange one."
I only know what I'm reading here and from Fethard's Twitter account, so I've no idea what really happened there. But I do know the scoreboard in Bellefield is far from reliable. The Rapps generally put a couple of young lads in charge of doing it, and it tends to be wrong at least a couple of times in every match there. I've been thinking it's a controversy waiting to happen, and this might be it.

Seems to happen more often than it should. I remember it happening the only time I was asked to umpire. Was a bad wet day, and a county final. It had to be replayed.

Replying To alwaysasub:  "Intermediate-
Rathnure V Tara R- Rathnure by 12 (Tara Rocks hadnt won a game all year until the pre lim)
Bunclody V Fethard- Fethard by 2
St James V Horeswood - James by 8, think they will be in the final.
Alley V Askamore - For all their young talent, Alley have never really pushed on, Askamore impressive last round, Askamore by 3.

Senior
Shels V Ballymurn - Agree with poster above, not sure how Ballymurn were rode, a storm came, they moved the fixture what are they supposed to do. Ballymurn hadnt won a game all year until the pre lim. Shels will be out for revenge after last year. Shels by 8.
Annes V Rapps- Annes should win this.
Martins V Ferns - Martins look back to themselves, expect them to win.
Gorey V Harriers - Agree with posters above, should be close"
Rathnure by 10
Fethard by 4- my tip for the final if they avoid Rathnure in the semi.
Jimmy's after an almighty battle. Horeswood won't be afraid of them and derby games take on a life of their own.
Askamore but another tight game."
Glad I didn't go down the bookies with these predictions

To be honest I went to see Shels v Ballymurn and I was tempted to ask for my money back!

Really terrible standard of hurling, I hope today's games provide a bit more entertainment and quality.

It was an awful game but to be fair conditions were horrendous, lashing rain in a swirling gale is the worst you can get for hurling. Ballymurn are at the end of their capabilities at quarter final stage but they've stayed at senior for 4 years now which is a lot longer than people thought when they came up. The Shels were poor yesterday they'll have to improve a lot to win a semi , can't see them beating anyone in a semi in that form.

Heard similar, that the scoreboard was wrong multiple times during the game, but in extra time corrected one teams score but not the other. Everyone there had it that Fethard won by 1, including the Bunclody stats man who was up in the covered stand section. He was telling people from Bunclody around him that the goal levelled the game and it was level, but then Fethard got a point and the game ended, so they believed they lost and no one knew what was going on. How the referee also got it wrong is unforgivable though. That shouldn't happen.

Appeal now anyway. How many more mistakes do they need to make.

Done.

Martins v Gorey
Shels v Rapps or St. Anne's

Intermediate
Bunclody v St. James
Buffers Alley v Rathnure

Bunclody and St. James would be happy to avoid Rathnure

Two county finals on this morning in the COE. Games were on at the same time on adjacent pitches that are only a few meters apart even tho there's seven pitches there!!

Referee whistles from the other game constantly interfering with our game.

Also no barrier around the pitches, no dug outs for subs, keeping gear dry, lasing rain this morning. No seating for spectors, specifically elderly. No score boards either.

Ferns COE are training pitches, not for holding county finals.

Absolutely. What was wrong with all the grounds that have stands?

1st game was poor enough. Second had more bite but ended controversially.

Maybe time to revisit the split season debate. The standard of both hurling and football in most of the games I've been to this year has been way down on the last couple of years. Was to be expected with most of our players being dual players.

Where in the rules does it specify penalties?
