The best games 'behind a pay wall'? Are you serious?
On Sunday RTE showed 5 hours of live coverage of two All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-finals - Louth v Donegal and Kerry v Derry, and you call that crumbs!?"
Well said. There was plenty of coverage of both football and hurling on RTÉ . I think there should be more. There were 31 live games on RTÉ and 38 live games on GAAGO. That should be switched. RTÉ should have more live games than GAAGO. I paid €79 for GAAGO. That worked out at €2•07 a game. It was excellent value for money.

There are a lot of ridiculous assertions and attacks from both sides here. We all need to realise that both RTE and GAA are making a bucket of money off this.
Yes RTE are showing more games. They should be showing more. The 2 evening programmes Saturday & Sunday should have a camera at every game on the weekend and give adequate time to each. Has been a bit of a joke this year with teams getting 5 mins of discussion or no footage at all.
GAAGo is funny. 2.07 per game implies I give a damn about terrible div 3&4 league games in horrible conditions in February or every group game in the tailteann cup (besides Sam Maguire had plenty of very average matches too).
Also implies I want to watch every hurling game.....

There has also been a lot of suspicion this year that the GAA have given GAAGO the best and most high profile games to boost numbers (JOB confirmed this actually) - this should be the biggest red flag for everyone as the GAA run GAAGO!! Clear conflict of interest - both RTE and GAA are happy to put best games on GAAGO as that makes them even more money!

The playback on GAAGO app is also a joke - why should there be ads on playback of a game I have already paid for? Already a bit funny that there are even ads on the ppv live games but I'm sure all should agree that ads on playback is scummy.

How would you ensure there are enough digital broadcast spec cameras, cameraman/woman and sound crew for every game and pay for them?

Stop half of the games shown didn't even have any sound! Go away with your sound crew. I've been at my fair share of games this year - for the clips broadcast on sat/sun game, it was one camera. At most 16 senior intercounty games per week and some of those need better equipment sure but at most 16 cameras for the clips is not a huge ask. I commented at the time that RTE didn't even have a clip of the historic win for London over Offaly!
The "spec" as you say varies wildly - check out the footage of Laois v NY a few weeks ago and compare.
All of the cameras at games were freelancers - that might be a start for RTE to actually start having a their own instead of farming it out.
Not a huge ask to have 5/10 mins of clips for each game and 10 mins of analysis.

Clubber show more games each weekend then GAAGo and at a cheaper rate. Loitv is 7euro a game and show every game in both divisions. Galway gaa manage to show clubs games. No wonder rte has ended up like it has when people like you have such low expectations

Clubbers production values aren't anywhere near gaagos so of course they can show more games.

Clubber show games at a far lower spec and production value than gaago. Of course it's cheaper.
Your comparisons are not right

I'm not required to answer good faith questions.
You seem to be asking me about logistics and that's a question for RTE not me.
Most clubs are able to get reasonable quality camera footage for between 50-100 euro per game. Need slightly better cameras for tv quality but sure if RTE don't have those cameras then nobody does. I know a few intercounty teams are using ex RTE cameras to video their own games!
