Leinster Hurling Championship 2024

I don't want to revisit the game on Saturday other than to congratulate Kilkenny and say what a lesson of hurling we were given.
I had great hopes for us and thought at least we would die with our boots on, and I can't get my head around how bad we were, I thought we were primed for a good rattle at them and it never materialised.
I don't get how we were so off it. We seemed like a team marking spaces not players throughout and I can't understand why that was allowed to continue beyond about 3 minutes.
The most disheartening thing of all is it was a great chance to promote hurling and the Dublin hurlers and there was a good crowd there for us.
I can't see us beating Cork and think our season has come to a disappointing end. People will no doubt say we were lucky v Wexford and Galway but its not our fault we played the match in Wexford till the end and Galway got a man sent off.

It really is a shame about that performance. Leinster finals are not easy to get to. There's no guarantee they'll be in another one in their careers.

You were lucky in Wexford but luck is part of sport and you got the scores.

I see the Cork crowd have already prebooked their train tickets for the All Ireland Semi Finals (proper order I would have done the same myself if We were in the same position)
I think the Clare crowd should do the same because with all due respect to the remaining Counties .......Clare and Cork will be in the All Ireland Senior Hurling Semi Finals.
Now I have gone for Cork v Clare All Ireland Final (fingers crossed)

Clare are less successful than Wexford. They're very good, but would have no right to take us for granted. If we get there of course

Absolutely Clare should not take Wexford for granted and there is no doubt it has the making of a great game but I'd expect since the Munster Final they have been 100% focused and preparing themselves for Wexford.
Yes Clare are less successful than Wexford but currently man v man Clare are a better team than Wexford.
This Laois game is a poor distraction for example if Wexford get injuries or straight red cards ect ect

The way I look at it Exiled is yes the Leinster final was a bad day for Dublin but they did great to get there and while I expect Cork to win quarter final v Dublin the pressure if off so Dublin can give it a right good lash and have nothing to lose.

I hope they can, but morale must be on the floor. Lets hope the team is determined to show they are better than that showing. A good account of themselves has to be the minimum expectation.

Limerick wont be stopped - 5 in a Row, imo, is a foregone conclusion.

You said the same about Galway been better than Wexford, that worked out well. Not even thinking of Clare, got to get past Laois first

Anything can happen on the day. Looks like Limericks to lose ok but if we don't win it I hope they do.

Says who? 15 on 15 there's not much in it. They probably have a better bench which was the difference in 22. I'd say we've improved since then and they've regressed a little.

Still, we've to play laois. We might talk about it more next week hopefully.

Offaly had more support in KK for an u20 Final than they do for a home Senior game v Cork.!!!

Kilkenny is a lovely place to visit (and stay), on a sunny June bank holiday weekend.

That explains how Offaly could sell out Nowlan Park but not O Connor Park.

Mmmmm which game would you go to more, an all Ireland final where you have a great chance of winning or a game where everyone is saying cork will win by 30 points! Great year for Offaly, great effort today after 7 days rest, will Galway keep Henry?

Fair play to Offaly for winning the u20 hurling but we will have to see what happens their senior team in the next few years!
They won the u20 football a few years ago and there was great huff about them yet their senior football team are Div 4!!!
My opinion is I don't think Henry will stay next year.
Hopefully Davy Fitz might get it.

I am sure all those Offaly Fans went to the Marble City just for the scenery.
