What a complete snore fest Kerry v Derry was… I nodded off during the first half… Is it any wonder people are voting with their feet and staying away from this sort of dross…

6 munster titles and a load of underage titles."
Apologies munsterchamps if my post seemed offensive it certainly was not meant to be, my opinion was simply based on Cians contribution to the success of some counties in both codes in achieving top honours.
Hurling has been my only field sport so I do recognise limerick's successes and the positives it is ploughing back into the game. I wish you all the best in CP the 7th. who knows I may very well be there.

4 bookies have Galway @ 9/2 and 3 others have them @ 4/1

If I was a confident Galway betting fan - i would not be going to PP

The odds matter not - kerry wont be beaten."
Correct. This is one of the greatest Kerry teams of all times."
I don't agree with one of the greatest Kerry teams of all time, they had Dublin by the throats twice last year and bottled it so id hold off on that one.
As for yesterdays game, I don't know what happened internally in Derry since league win but obviously a split in the camp and was very evident they were not playing for MH yesterday.

Any of the 4 remaining could win it, of course Kerry are favourites but I would not be backing them at even money,

Blame the football on lower attendance. Nothing to do with GAA hurried fixtures. Galway in 3 weeks had a home game, then Mullingar and then Croke Park. Young families are made of money.

The game never sparked to life. Derry are a shadow of the team last year, they have lost their confidence and were trying to keep the score down. Maybe that is understandable given they got a few bad beatings this year. What I don't understand is the Kerry approach to the game, they have an array of attacking talent but played slow and methodical. They kept Derry in the game for long periods. Surely they can't play like that against Armagh and will step up a few gears.

Thats brilliant.Easy money for you so Fionn.Sure if you have a few hundred spare put it on Kerry. You cant lose according to ypu.You guarenteed a windfall.Im not as confident but you can make the money."
I am guaranteed a windfalll.....??? lol

With 4/5 odds - big windfall alright...

It is kerry's to lose, and if they were to lose it at this stage, the kerry folk would be less than forgiving, for many a year.

They can yerra yerra all they like - but this one should be in the bag for them.
if not - them players will find it very hard to get over imo.

Like I said already - Galway are the only ones who might come close to them.

There are very few kerry fans not confident about Sam this year, at this stage.
And fewer bookies...."]You cant lose Fionn in Paddy Power.Kerry evens and Galway 3/1.Put 200e on Kerry to win and 100e on Galway to win.No matter who wins then you re in the money Fionn.Simple arithmetic..Thats of course if you really believe what you post.Kerry people believe they can win every year as do most challenging counties but Kerry supporters are worried this year and not that confident due to our style of play at mo .Any one of the 4 left can win it Imo and to write off Armagh and Donegal is pure silly. Then you would nt know because as you said yourself you did nt watch the games. You obviously have very little interest when Dubs are gone.

I think so too tbh.

kerry with, who many call, the greatest player of all time v galway with a player who is a football genius.
To call out just 2 of the many very good players both teams have in their ranks.

I will be more than surprised if this is not the Final line up, and no offence to the other 2 semi finalists.
All 4 teams have done great getting to this stage.

Something not sitting right in there.

Peaked way too early in the season but sure look - they are League Champions this year.
Go again next season with a better plan for the season, for sure.

Only four teams left in championship and its the 1st of July. In years gone by, the Wimbledon Mens final often clashed with the Leinster Hurling final. This year in two weeks time, it will clash with the All Ireland Football Semi final and Euro 24 final.

From a purely marketing perspective, this is madness what the GAA is doing.

Even having the hurling final the August Bank Holiday and Football the week after would be better than this.

What Galway did was remarkable but it should not take away from the fact, teams should be out no faster than every two to three weeks. It is fairer on players, it gives fans a better chance to plan and budget and will improve attendances for sure and contribute to better matches.

Louth, Derry and Rossies all tired in final quarter. Now you could argue win your group to avoid the slog but only finding out what time you are playing and who you are playing on Monday afternoon when game is Saturday or Sunday is a joke.

Kerry for the football and Limerick for the hurling are foregone conclusions.

Guiney & O Shea were very poor again yesterday. They are very dependant on Clifford and when he is well marked like yesterday they are a very ordinary team.

Fair enough.

Anyway, how are Galway people feeling, now that the dust has slightly settled on the great win at the weekend.?

It appears Shane will be fit and raring to go for the semi.

Saw some of the highlights of the Donegal game - some speed from their half back line.

It is madness - crazy schedule for amateurs.

I know club players who have absolutely no interest in even trying for inter county, due to the commitments and toll on body, mind and life.

Of the last 21 All-Irelands, only two have not been won by Dublin, Kerry or Tyrone.

I have a strong feeling it won't be Kerry this year.
