He doesn't rate Drung either and look where that got him. Hes kind of like Merson on Soccer Saturday, always the status quo with the predictions. Lazy predictions.

What has happened to the leaguers ?
I know they're missing players abroad and I believe McKiernan is playing for a club in Kildare. But to be getting hockeyed by Junior teams after being in Senior and Intermediate semis not that long ago is puzzling. Always had a soft spot for Killeshandra, nice place to go and watch a game, good pubs and music, a very historic town, would be a shame to see them fall away Hopefully they are working on their underage

Interesting start to the Senior Championship, managed to get to a fair few of the games. Gowna usually are a bit slow out of the blocks in group last few years, despite winning it, and so it proved again. Seemed to be quite strong, and ahead most of the game before being caught with a late goal. Typical Kingscourt stuff. Come up and launch an ambush, leave with a share of the spoils. Both will be looking towards quarters

Killygarry and Castlerahan probably where it was at. Killygarry would expect to win this well and did. Both with different expectation and what side of the table they'll be looking at. Ballinagh and Laragh an interesting one. Quite an even one I'd have said, but Ballinagh with a Div 2 title and Laragh losing a few players means Ballinagh always likely to sneak ahead and a good win to get on the board. Crosserlough lavel, not much to say. Crosserlough barely even in 3rd gear, Lavey look very poor. Going to be contrasting seasons for them, obviously.

Ballyhaise Ramor was intriguing. Ramor looked at half pace and not at all the team we know they can be, but still had enough to squeak over the line. Ballyhaise threw this away tbh. Multiple goal chances spurned, and poor decision making otherwise at times. Should have been well out of sight before being caught with the late goal. Ramor will surely not be so lax in next few weeks

Mullahoran and Cavan Gaels was a turn up alright. Had a feeling that Mullahoran being more youthful could catch the Gaels if they stuck with them, and so it proved here. Mullahoran well worth their win and with a lot of youth, and experienced lads including likes of Duffer sprung from the bench, they could look to push on and bridge across to the better teams over the next while. Could be a sliding doors moment, with Gaels looking the other way with miles on the clock.

Good weekend all round, with a shock, a few close runs, but a few blow outs too - there's defintely 3 distinct tiers in this I feel. The draw for next week is interesting. Some teams will need to get points on the board quickly

They had a good patch of players who played underage for the County. Declan McKiernan, Dara Tighe Tomas Reilly, Shane Reilly and Paddy King. But they never had a big panel, and once those players were gone they were struggling. Killeshandra rarely have players on underage County panels now.

Its gas the way Drung is written off every week, yet they are the form team in the Junior Championship.

Very tough game to call and if it was a quarter final i'd be going Drung.

But it mightn't be as easy to get themselves up for a group game v the Munchies after playing the two favorites in Knockbride and Belturbet.

With Tiernan Reilly back this week I'd definitely have them favorites for this game

Couldn't Laragh have conceded and saved themselves another hiding?

Munterconnacht with a comfortable win in the end and hitting form at the right time it seems.

Drung might not make quarter finals now after going unbeaten against the two favorites which would be unfair. But have a good record against their neighbors Redhills who they play next week.

Called the draw correctly in Swad Shannon Gaels. Both teams should be in the quarters now.

Redhills putting 8 goals past Mountnugent. What has happened themselves and Killashandra?

Alot of Junior teams have players in late 30's and early 40's you would wonder where they will be in a few years time.

I can't seem to find your predictions

The only one that can slag off my predictions is Drumalee11 who had a very good week I must say. I had a terrible week but my overall predictions for winners and relegation for the year are still on track. I will turn it around next week. As José Mourinho says, the season is long.
