Nice to see Ballybricken in a final.

Down to quarter finals in the senior, the Big 4 still there plus Ballybrown and new boys Monaleen. Kilmallock looked to be getting stronger and should have enough to beat Ballybrown and set up a cracking semi with Na Phiarsaigh while Monaleen and the 'well could be close before the winner meets Doon. Patrickswell not going well so far and Monaleen could pull off the shock here.

Will lynch and Gillane be back for that game? They looked very ordinary without them on sunday

Hard to judge that game on Sunday as it qas a dead rubber with nothing at stake but agree Patrickswell need the 3 county men going very well to win anything. Lynch will be back and a few others, less sure about Gillane and they struggle for scores without him.

Good to hear. You seem to have contacts all over Ireland. We all have a soft spot, I presume, for Ballybricken because of the late, great Dolores. But you're not a Zombie, Viking. Not yet anyway, but should Wexford do a '96 or a '68 anytime soon, I shudder...

With Donal O'Grady moving to manage the minor team, I wonder has succession planning for JKs term ending in two years time already potentially started. Obviously we all hope he stays for longer but you have to prepare.
Seems like a good move to me overall.

The rumour mill in Limerick when there was talk of John Kiely running in the election, was that Donal O'Grady was potentially next in line. Depending on how he gets on with the minors next year and the year after, could well decide if he is ultimately in the running to be John's successor or not.

Good luck to him, I hope he does well the Minors from this year looked miles behind likes of Clare and Cork

Good move for DOG. Huge different between being a selector\assistant that being the main man. He will get some experience now with the minors which will stand to him should he eventually take over from JK.

Good additions to Kiely's backroom team for next year Cronin a highly rated coach around Munster and knows most of the panel from teaching them in ASR, Adrian O'brien is an impressive S+C guy and knows his hurling as well and if he passes on what he did with his own son Shane to the panel we will be going well while the psychologist Kilgannon is also highly rated. Freshing up the backroom team will bring new ideas and probably freshen up the starting team as well.

Any thoughts on club hurling ? Monaleen are closing the gap in the top 4 and will be beating the well in the next year or two . It does look like a Doon v NAP final which will be a big occasion , be bigger again if Kilmallock manage to beat NAP .
Garryspillane look well placed to win premier intermediate with Croagh in intermediate , Feenagh in Premier junior looking like winners and Patrickswell B in the junior maybe and Stakers to win junior B.

I think your underestimating Patrickswell a little bit Openstand, all the pressure is on Doon next weekend as favourites and they don't have a great record as favourites, that may change under Derek McGrath but we have to wait and see that. If Doon can cope with being favourites they will win but that's a big question. NaP and Kilmallock should be a cracker based on previous games and a Kilmallock win cannot be ruled out. In the intermediate NCW have been the form team and it would be good to see them up senior but you could make a case for the other 3 teams aswell and Bruff for me could be the dark horse's here.

Doon and na piarsaigh are favourites and no one can deny they have been most consistent teams so far..the well have struggled to get going but have pulled through with a few tight wins..will the fact they have had competitive hurling stand to them??if it's a tight game it could be a well win..killmallock have been putting up huge scores but also conceding a lot,if they tighten up a bit at the back they could cause problems..o brien has been outstanding and looks as if he will always get scores no matter how teams try marking him..na piarsaigh have brought in some new players this year and look very strong again and one would have to fancy them to get to the final again..once against n im going to mention this, two huge games in senior hurling with multiple all Ireland winners playing and no sign of tv coverage..what has happened on this front??where has limerick Gaa tv gone??who or what has stopped clubber from covering games in limerick..last weekend 36 club games being covered by them and from all over the country..other counties have their own coverage, why not limerick??it's an own goal in my opinion..also going to quarter finals of competitions and no proper programme,a sheet of paper..what stopped the production of the weekend programme?)then of course there is the farce of damage done to surface in Gaelic grounds again..are officials asking any questions, and if so do they get any answers.sorry for the long post.

Stopping the weekend Hurling championship programmes was a very poor decision , it was an excellent production but now there seems to be a anything is too much like work attitude a sheet of paper was a very lazy effort for the county quarter finals , very . Limerick ladies football had Clubber for their finals last weekend and Camogie could well be the same for their finals this weekend,

Met Dolores a few times in Moroe back in the 90s. Sound woman.

Updewell or openstand, have ye any information on why no coverage of any semi final from limerick championship..maybe I'm cranky but surely our county board are missing an oppurtunity to promote the game and players to all the younger people..any word on what has happened with limerick Gaa tv,covered matches in last few years..I've elderly parents who can no longer attend who'd live to be able to see them..

It's a strange 1. There are 57 games on clubber this weekend and they aren't covering them either.
