Replying To journeyman:  "I would think something along these lines will be named.

Nicky
M Casey D Morrissey B Nash
D Brynes D Hannon K Hayes
WOD D Reidy
G Hegarty C Lynch T Morrissey
A Gillane S Flanagan C O'Neill

CO'Neill may play half back with K Hayes in the roving role with Gillane and Flanagan inside."
I also think those 15 names might well feature if all fit and ready to go. Seam finn needs to be built up minutes wise.

I think majority of supporters won't mind seeing that 15 take to the field..a lot will depend on fitness of hayes..if he's absent then it could result in o neill going back..it'll be a huge day for the replacements as some of them will have to step up on a huge day..getting close now and I can't wait.

Replying To updwell:  "Anthony Daly said we wouldn't get out of Munster and Colm Calvin thinks our backs don't have the pace anymore."
I hadn't see Daly's or Calvin's comments, but managed to find what Daly said. To be fair to him, he never said Limerick 'wouldn't get out of Munster'. His was suggesting that it wasn't a certainty Limerick would qualify. Which I think is a fair point. It doesn't matter what Limerick have won in the past ("winning 5 titles in 6 years doesn't seem to carry much weight with some pundits"), the only thing that matters is the upcoming Munster Championship, starting with Clare. Last year, Limerick drew their last 2 group games (Tipp & Cork) in Munster, to finish 2nd. They could easily have finished 4th.
Most peoples choices for the three counties to qualify are Limerick, Clare & Cork, I wouldn't bet against that. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if either (or both) Tipp or Waterford, managed qualify.

Team announced with nothing too unexpected.
Dan back at 3, with Casey and Nash beside him. , Hayes at 7, CON midfield, Reidy, who was very good in the second half of the munster final last year at 11 and Cian in the corner, playing Caseys roaming role. He could cause havoc there hopefully.

I'm expecting they'll play as named, albeit there might be a positional switch along the way.
It's a strong team and the best of what's available to us at the moment.

Starting to get a bit nervous now. It's got the potential to be a cracking match, with hopefully no stupid cards or controversial sending off this time round.
Both teams well capable and fairly difficult to call but obviously hope we're warned up nicely after a lazy enough league semi final.
Limerick to win by 2 pts!! COYBIG!!

Extremely strong Limerick team and bench named . Small bit of a statement for me. Looking forward to Sunday.

I'd expect a few positional changes ,dave reidy to mid ,cathal o neill to half back and what odds on kyle hayes leading attack with cian lynch in roving role across the half forward line. Looking forward to it ,great as a limerick supporter to be back looking forward with some degree of optimism to games. These last 6 or 7 years have been a joy to witness as a long time supporter. I dreamed of seeing us win 1 as an adult being only 10 in73. To have won 5 in 6 years is beyond our wildest dreams. Whatever way it goes from here on our these players have our admiration thanks and respect for how they have raised the treaty . Luimneach abú.

I wouldn't say it's a statement as JK always plays the best team available in the championship whoever the opposition and that is what he is doing for Sunday.
As said by others there could be one or two positional switches.
The Clare team though could look very different at the throw in from the one announced.
There can be no excuses from either side as both teams are missing some great players but have plenty of strength in depth to cope.
It has all the ingredients for another epic chapter in this great rivalry. Even the weather is getting into championship gear
Looking forward to a great day out and hoping for sensible refereeing of both sides.

As another old timer I absolutely concur with the above. Even if these boys never won another Game they owe us nothing.

Exactly. Here's to a great game, no controversy, no sending off, a great game of hurling and may the best team win. Same to all the other teams out today across Leinster and Munster

Well done limerick. But 2 of goals should have been saved and the other a square Ball.

You are still a young fellow at 60/61 Knockfiarna. Good finish today scoring 3 goals.

I'm still shaking my head as to how we won that!! Clare disappeared completely after we got our second goal.
We were so poor at times, but..
Champions find a way.
Great atmosphere and roll on Tipp next week. We surely won't be as sluggish again.

At least you are permitted comment on your brilliant comeback. Not so for us Dubs.....

Hegarty interview was interesting. The confidence based on knowing that any normal team would have shot the game away by stage Limerick gave themselves a shake.

Word awesome is sometimes misused. Not with these boys.

Cheers Barney.. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd see a a Limerick hurling team like this. Once in a generation team with some all time greats.

I really hope that it is not a case of the last sting of a dying wasp. Limerick were so flat for so much of that game, looking like men who had just gone to the well that one time too often. Hopefully, this great result is what Limk need to recharge the battery fully!
