Very unfortunate should have won, missed too many easy chances in first half, badly need a free taker.
Some mysterious decisions by referee on both sides.

Shels, Rosslare and Gorey all were beating yesterday. Shows how poor we are at the moment. The team that beat them wouldn't be very strong either in a overall leinster context. I don't expect any of the hurling winner to fair much better especially with the long delay sense the championship.

shels were by far the better, owned the ball for long stages, struggles to brake down the ulster style mass defence plus missed several frees he would have nailed in wexford pk,

And yet we had 2 teams compete in Leinster finals last year. Did that show how strong we are at the time then?

Things even themselves out as they say.... Shels got enough decisions in the county final

Its just a case of year on year sure Fethard won Intermediate last year and Adamstown got to the final, we've struggled in Senior for years and we've actually became more competitive the last few years, I actually wouldn't be shocked if Lomans got to the final Kilmacud are undoubtedly favourites for Leinster but I'd expect Lomans to beat the Longford champions and them against Naas or Summerhill of Meath would be a 50/50 for me, also when you look how clubs like Kilcoo, Ballygunner and Cuala further back have done the fortunes of 1 club don't always reflect the county at that time.

Gorey were victims of unfortunate timing with a stag do on, 10 players missing from the co. Final, would have been a different story one suspects if those players were available

It's almost like our championship structure is a hinderance to us and isn't exactly conducive in producing a quality championship In either code to begin with or in producing quality club teams to compete further down the line!!

But I don't expect anything to change unfortunately, clubs will still vote for whatever they perceive gives them an advantage rather than the good of the codes overall which of course then has a knock on affect on the county teams.

Hopefully Gorey can get a win in Leinster in a few weeks, (will tbe the county's first in what 3/4 years) madness that we went straight from finishing football into football Leinster championship when there's an actual 3 week break between the end of the football and start of Leinster club hurling.

Just seen a video going around on social media of a town team singing songs after winning adult county final jeering another town team, pathetic stuff, ,I wouldn't expect much better anyway

Presume this is the same town team that their first tweet of the final at the weekend they were in was to say that the opposition were all the match and they the sheep would be lonely where they were from. A disgraceful tweet.

Our co championship should not be based on ensuring that 6 teams go into provincial, it should be to ensure that we have competitive and quality championships for the 12 championship groupings and all the teams in all those grades. If we didnt compete in provincial, it wouldnt bother me a whole lot. I'd rather we have a better and competitive championship rather than making sure the 2 senior teams were better prepared to go into Leinster.

I'd say as a group the players would be thinking about the KK game also. I'd have Gorey as underdogs for that one though hopefully they prove me wrong. Looking forward to it tbh I'll go in support them. It should be a great atmosphere in the Park.

What do you do about that though? Unless we reduce the number of group games each club plays, but noone seems to want less games. Alternate football and hurling weekly or fortnightly then the standard in general would have to suffer as the 2 are completely different games. Most of the club players in the county would have to get used to the different skillsets required multiple times in the season, instead of only once. Alternate football and hurling as to which goes first maybe? But nearly everyone didn't want that either.

I agree with you, but when the idea of forgetting about provincial participation therefore giving more time and scope for us to run our own championships for the betterment of all clubs it was voted down.

Embarrassing- winning 4th or 5th grade competition and you'd think it was senior they won.

In fairness any county title weather its Senior Adult, Junior B Adult, U18 Premier, U14 Div 5 should be celebrated, you'll never know at that point if that's the last medal you win in all the examples I gave.
