Replying To rossytilidie:  "Senior - On paper these all look one sided enough games, I think they will all be competitive barring the shels and the Annes
Castletown v Starlights - Hard to look past the north county men, not as easily as expected thought. Castletown by 3, although this Starlights team has lots of quality if they can click.
Bunclody v Kilanerin - This will be tight I think, preference to Kilanerin just about, could be seeing these teams again midweek as I think will be very tight. Draw after 90mins, and maybe a Kilanerin win in extra time.
Annes v Shels - Shels comfortably, As gritty and dogged as the Annes are, this looks very tough. Shels favs to win it, and Annes prob thankful they are not in a relegation battle
Barntown - Gusserane - Gusserane by 4-5, don't think Barntown are up to as much as other do. I'd have Gusserane and Kilanerin playing next best to the obvious two

Inter - I wouldn't be surprised if all the below predictions are incorrect, it's a minefield!
Maudlintown v Cushinstown - Maudlintown being a bit fresher I'll go with them, it's been a long season for Cushinstown, Maudlintown by 2
Martins v Horeswood - Don't know what has happened Horeswood, they def wouldn't have been considered as 4th place in their group at the start of the year. This Martins team are there for the taking I feel, I'm going to go with an upset, and Horsewood to win by 2
Gorey v Ballyhogue - Gorey should be good enough here, just about again though. Gorey by 3
Taghmon v Adamstown - Adamstown could go close to winning this grade if they can get over there local rivals here. Adamstown to pip it by 1

Inter A - Plucking at straws here, but I'll give it a go
Duffry v Monageer - Duffry to cause an "upset" - Finishing 4th in a group can do wonders for teams sometimes
Kilmore v Barntown - Kilmore will be close to winning the grade so I'll side with them, by 5-6
Rosslare v Vols - Rosslare beat Kilmore last week, but imo got a tougher draw in the q final. This will be tight, but Rosslare should have a few points to spare
Pats v Craanford - Another local derby, I think Craanford are a bit further along in their journey than Pats are"
Senior QF expect comfortable wins for Shels, Castletown & Kilanerin, Gusserane/Glynn is very hard to call, I think Gavin Sheehan's absence might sway it Glynn's way.

Intermediate- Think Martins will be to strong for Horeswood, Gorey/ Ballyhogue hard to call, 2 inconsistent teams think Gorey have a higher ceiling so will go with them, Adamstown/ Taghmon should be tight, I'll go with Taghmon to defy group stage form against there neighbours, Maudlintown/ Cushinstown another hard to call, I'll go with a draw, ET and Maudlintown to win a midweek replay.

Intermediate A- I'll go with wins for Rosslare and Kilmore and tight wins for Monageer and St Patricks.

Seen this has actually happened and the player everyone was chatting about was reading the comments here based on a recent tweet.

:)

So he was. The comment here that he was referring to was one of mine.

In fairness to him, am fairly sure his own club is one of those that voted for alternate weeks or blocks, so not much more they can do. No point in voting for football to go first in its entirety, because that'd never get a majority, and voting that way would only split the vote from those opposed to all the hurling going first.

But remains the case that even with alternate weeks or blocks of two weeks this year, and with football going first on the grounds that the football finals have to be finished first, then last weekend would have been a football weekend anyway.

Am sure he read that earlier comment too, and he might even be reading this one again now as well! :)

half way in 2th hafe although they were still 3 down i though glynn were going to win that, gusserane had not scored for 25/30 min but once they did get a point glynn just fell away, they have a couple of fine young players but still lean a lot on lacey and he cant last the 60 min

Gusseranes win should send a warning shot to all the other teams - anyone at the game?

Was in Pats Park last night, pitch looked in good nick maybe the county board should invest in facilities their instead. GB very disappointing, Gusserane had a purple patch for about 5 mins in the first half got two goals and that was enough. Barntown dropped about 5 balls short in the first half going for scores. Adrian Flynns and Gavin Sheehan very good Rossiter was well held but got a few crucial scores at the end. GB were too lateral and never even tried kicking one ball in to the full forward line when they were chasing the game.

The big 3 into the semi finals now and I think it's will be Shels Castletown final. No huge shocks in intermediate Horeswood up by a point with 5 to go and lost by 3. Adamstown still going very well, Gorey racking up a big score think they will meet St Martins In what would be a good final. Cushinstown had a good win seemed to be in control of the game but only won by 2 in the end.

All the quarter finals went pretty much to form over the weekend.

Hard to see past Shelmaliers this year. Great to see high scores being posted. Intermediate a little harder to call. Naomh Éanna - Martin's final I'd say.

Shelmaliers kilanerin has the makings of been game of the year, two teams who have been racking up big scores and will attack each other hard, cant read much into the group game as both were through but Kilanerin hadnt Niall or Cian hughes until half time and I think maybe one r two others were rested from start also, Will O Gara start he has played very little this year but could be a huge handful for Kilanerin to deal with

While there was rightly criticism over the conditions the final Senior group games were played in you'd have to give praise on the flexibility shown to get matches played last weekend, I was at Senior games in Patricks and Wexford Park and both pitches were in very good condition considering the recent rainfall.

Looking forward to this weekend conditions are looking good thankfully, I think the 2 Senior semi finals could be the best games of the year so far, Castletown are deserving favorites but wouldn't write off Gusserane who impressed on Saturday, all things considered I think it will go down the final 10 mins with Castletown seeing it out by 4 in the end. In the other game I think there's nothing between the 2 sides, I think the deadrubber final group game will have no impact regards Sunday, Kilanerin are probably the most expansive team in the championship so summer like conditions should them, I'll back them to get a coming of age win but think the result will be in doubt right until the final whistle.

In Intermediate I'll go with Gorey to beat Adamstown and Martins to beat Cushinstown, Intermediate A Kilmore to beat St Pats and Rosslare to beat Monageer, Junior wins for Oylgate, Blackwater, Castletown and Sarsfields (definitely a few on the Sars team were good enough to play Senior this year if they wanted). I'll abstain from giving predictions on relegation games.

I feel this is the first time in many years that we have a clear divide from the top 3 teams to the rest, and that may remain for many years to come. I felt barntown were next best and they should have bet gusserane last weekend but they are a bit behind castletown, shelmaliers, and kilanerin still.
Castletown v gusserane
Castletown will be comfortable again this weekend which could stand to them in the final being that bit fresher. Brosnan and brooks are racking up big scores and with bealin back now along with being extremely solid as always at the back its hard to see past them.

Shelmaliers v kilanerin
Game of the championship.
You can forget about the last group game as it meant nothing to either side and conditions were awful. Can see this going to extra time which is why i think castletown could be in pole position for the final.
Kilanerin have emerged as a serious side this year with some great fire power up front and well organised defensively. However i feel shelmaliers are further along in terms of having their system down to a tee and i will give them the nod by 1 after extra time.
Castletown to repeat last years final result and retain the title. First time in as long as i can remember

Intermediate
I think it will be a martins gorey final and can see gorey doing the double.

Wonder will we see a surprise this weekend and what grade will it be in
Senior: Shels and Castletown but games to be tight

Intermediate : Martins and Gonna go with Adamstown seem to be on a roll

Intermediate A: Rosslare to win just and set up a final with their neighbours Kilmore

Junior: Kilanerin, Oylegate, Blackwater, Sarsfields

For senior i will go with:

Shels and Castletown to renew rivalries for the Senior final with both to win this weekend, i think Shelmaliers will regain the title in the final itself. Complacency bit them in the ass last year i feel. There is a bit of a split between Kilanerin, Castletown, Shelmailers and the rest. I do feel that Shelmaliers are being overlooked a small bit considering the result they had against the Annes, from being at it, it was seriously impressive.

Intermediate is harder to judge:
Gorey were excellent in the 2nd half against Ballyhogue but were a point down at half time and Ballyhogue collapsed in the 2nd half. If Adamstown get into the same position they wont suffer the same fate. However i do feel Gorey are only 2nd to St Martins in terms of the players they have and the fact is they are eyeing up what would be an unprecedented year for them if they win this grade off football.

Hard to look past the Martins against Cushinstown, having said that Cushinstown are a team that improves as they go along, they comfortably dispatched the Marys even if the result doesnt show it as such, if Martins arent fully on it they could be caught but if they are then they will win it relatively comfortably.

Intermediate A: Monageer have had a seriously impressive run but think it may end this weekend but Kilmore and St Marys are the 2 strongest teams in thsi grade this year, can see them making the final with Rosslare to win it out i think.

The relegation finals in both top grades will be dogfights:

Senior: I think Crossabeg will just about shade it but the returning players from Fethard who will now have had an opportunity to get some proper training in may tip it their way, wouldnt surprise me if this went to a replay

Intermediate: Clongeen are probably slightly better than Bannow, but Bannow are one hell of a dogged outfit when their backs are against the wall, this has everything, local rivalry etc. I think Clongeen might just shade it but Bannow beat them last year in the championship and have ahd good results against Horeswood and Cushinstown, whichever team keeps the heads and discipline will decide this, it may one relegation match too many for Bannow, Clongeen to shade it.

Senior
Castletown and Shels, cant really see past any of these two. Fancy Shels for title.

Intermediate
Martins and Adamstown for final. Martins to win

Intermediate A
Rosslare tipping along nicely, Kilmore to meet them in the final.

Junior
Castletown, Annes to surprise Oylegate, Blackwater and Sars to win through to semi.
