The Dubs always do this stuff well. In contrast to my own county where everyone bit of dirty linen is aired in public. peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1036 - 26/03/2023 14:56:19 2466677 Link 1 |

Must mean that Comerford is gone. Not sure what the situation is with Shiels. O'Hanlon has been excellent and is improving with every game. He deserves to keep the spot.

Is it known why Clux vanished in the first place (more than just bored of winning All-Irelands)? omahant (USA) - Posts: 2896 - 26/03/2023 16:48:22 2466756 Link 0 |
I'd say he just showed up this morn. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13779 - 26/03/2023 17:00:09 2466765 Link 5 |

I see Pat Spillane has labelled Cluxtons return "a joke" jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20689 - 04/04/2023 10:49:39 2468725 Link 6 |
Pat is hoping that no player wins 9 AI medals, to surpass his 8. Mick Fitz, Jimmy Mac, and now Cluxo may have a sweet riposte to Spillane in a few short months. I could feel the fear in his writing.

Plain old begrudgery as always.

We all thought Cluxton was the kind of man who didn't like the limelight, how things have changed. Pat is right, if Derry or any other team brought back a man of 41 they'd be laughed at.

Unfortunately we don't have any 41 year-olds with 8 All-Irelands in Galway. If we did, we might be asking them for help too.

41 for a goal keeper though, not like hell be playing midfield, he was playing nearly right up to his 40th birthday, did very well winning player of the year playing a massive part in keeping Dublin on track to 5 in a row, some really top class saves etc Spillane even says that himself that his age doesn't matter, so you're misquoting him on that front. jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20689 - 04/04/2023 18:30:21 2468879 Link 3 |
How did he put himself in the limelight. Nobody knew he was coming back until he literally stepped of their team bus. Bizarre comment.

Derry do need a new keeper, wherever one can be found. Shame there's no one that can be brought back in!

Not too many 41 year old Derry men like Cluxton I guess! Would love to hear how you think things have changed? Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1467 - 04/04/2023 21:02:00 2468919 Link 1 |
its a bit different as cluxton is an 8 time all ireland winner and arguably the greatest keeper of all time

Have I heard correctly that Cluxton has not even played club football in over two years but is now back in with Dublin? PeterQ92 (Donegal) - Posts: 115 - 05/04/2023 09:44:21 2468948 Link 1 |
