what would the general view in the Kingdom be of Mark O'Shea and Sean O'Brien? They're not getting much plaudits but I thought they were brilliant on Sunday, Langan didn't have a sniff at all. They have done a great job from the quarters on in my view CCFabu (Donegal) - Posts: 274 - 30/07/2025 13:11:09 2629257 Link 0 |
Tbh Sean O Brien was spoken of a bit but as a half back but was a very good minor. Mark O Shea was known as a fairly good ckub midfielder and got mentions for a trial on Kwrry team but tbh only for injuries Mark would probably never have got a cgance this year. At one stage we had both our starting midfuelders injured Diarmuid O Connor and Barry Dan O Sullivan and when Paudie Clifford and Sean o Shea got injured, management wanted strength in half forward line so Joe O Coinnor went there meaning our top 3 midfielders were now not playing midfield. Fair play to Sean O Brien and Mark as they did very well. We also got away with Sean O Sheas injury too.Not many noticed but Seanie did nt take any frees or 45s from ground this year to lessen damage to his injury. Thanks for the insight Mick I thought both lads played super in the final to be honest and just speaks to the depth and coaching in the Kingdom I would say, unheralded players stepping up big time. If everyone is fit now with Diarmuid O'Connor and Barry Dan that is some squad to call on around the middle of the field for next year though I'm sure you're not thinking too far ahead go fóill Mike Breen had a brilliant year as well I noticed that with Seanie when he took the 2 point free out of his hands in the 2nd half (that was the final nail in the coffin for us) CCFabu (Donegal) - Posts: 274 - 01/08/2025 11:40:06 2629634 Link 1 |

Yes CCFabu it does bode well for Kerry if we can stay injury free but we thought that oo after 22 All Ireland. We will just enjoy for the moment and look forward to the league after Xmas before thinking aboit next years championship.

Sean O Shea is a top player and a trojan worker too always tackling and helping out defense as well as a grat playmaker.Seanie is also a brilliabt dead ball kicker but yes this year I dont think he took one free from the ground and did nt take any 45s due to a senstive injury.

Abbeydorney then achieved back to back titles. It'll be all football club championships now until November. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9079 - 04/08/2025 20:41:51 2630062 Link 0 |
