I hear Jody Devines tenure as manager in Cilles has come to an end with former rugby international Nial Ronan now taking the hot seat, best of luck to him.

A manager a season isn't to surprising given the commitment involved, especially if they are travelling any distance at all. Unless they are winning it can be hard to justify it to family etc

There are very few clubs who believe the players they have invested in and developed for years are suitable managers for the same club that nurtured them.

Outside managers are less concerned about developing underage talent within a club. Sell your soul to the devil and you'll reap the rewards.

It's a vicious circle!!!

Thankfully it seems to be less chopping and changing of managers compared to the last 2 years.

They are very close. Are you throwing your hat in the ring? Does this mean that Joe is going back to take over his own club?

I wouldn't call 25 clubs looking for new managers "not many".....

At time of posting it wasn't that many. Obviously things have moved on. Represents roughly 40% of FB clubs, so its very considerable amount.

Here we go!! Think you have to look at managers/coaches who have done a lot with limited resources. Or else a coach that's revitalised a team. Teeling in Kilbride springs to mind.
