Replying To BigJoe14:  "Is Davy Nelson not the new Meath ladies manager?"
He is. No way he'll be double jobbing. Not possible with a gig like the ladies one.

Replying To UsernameInvalid:  "Robbie Brennan potentially to the Tones depending on how Kilmacud get on.

PK to the Bracks and will be a joint manager with Kinnegad.

Talk for Brian Farrell to Kells and Ashbourne looking at Ger Brennan (not sure how reliable that one is)

David Nolan is a candidate for Bective and Davy Nelson back to O Mahonys both have been big hits with regional teams

Some insane rumors doing the rounds"
Robbie Brennan is definitely not going to tones

Agreed, Mickey Harte double jobbing with Slaughtneil an interesting one.
Even PK Ballinabracky/Kinnegad combo also interesting,. In fairness both in close proximity but still 1 team be hard enough. I have always rated his teams he's trained.

David Hosie to O Mahonys. He was in with Ultans again but pulled out few weeks ago.
Nolan is gone to Bective alright

P.K not with the Bracks unfortunately.

Still trying to appoint someone.

Very close to but still not over the line.

Kevin Reilly has stepped down as Trim manager. A bit surprissing that.

Not a bit, Jimmy Canty is the top dog in Trim those days. And rightly so.

That is a big surprise - he has done a good job there and they are a 'coming' team!

So is there an internal issue with hurling vs football?

I don't know if there is an issue between hurling and football, just that one manager delivered, the other apparently didn't and as it seems to be the norm those days that if instant success is not achieved then it's the manager's fault. A look at the number of vacancies on this stream goes a long way in proving my point.

Kevin has delivered for Trim. No one realistically thought Trim were going to win the SFC this year.

The hurling job is not comparable when you consider the conveyor belt of hurlers in the club.

This looks to be purely Kevin's decision and I suspect that it will be a search for a manager that the club had not been expecting.

You couldn't be further wrong, completely Kevin's decision to walk away. Hurling and football managers got on great and club back both fully. Trim lost 2 out of 18 games under Reilly in 2022!

How exactly did K Reilly not deliver for Trim?

Part of Trims success in recent years has been the cooperation between football and hurling management.
Split sessions, hurling weeks, football weeks, managing how much dual players are doing and working alongside eachother.
From what I've heard trim will be down a lot of their panel from last year due to emigration also

Agree with the lads above. The idea that Trim, after 10 years in Intermediate with little underage success in recent years and who haven't won a SFC in decades, would fire their manager for simply not winning the SFC at the first attempt is just ridiculous. I can only imagine Reilly went of his own accord.

Exactly - at last someone who knows what he is talking about.... Kevin's decision was mainly based on that. Felt they would not be in a position to be competitive in SFC next year.

If you read my post again I stated 'apparently others' considered that he didn't deliver THIS YEAR. In the aftermath of several bad wides in Clonard v Na Fianna I listened to several Trim supporters heap the blame on Kevin and he didn't kick a ball that evening. I had a feeling that this was coming. Of course he delivered big time in 2021 by winning the IFC and returning Trim to the SFC and reached the All Ireland, bonus territory indeed but fans are fickle.

You can add Cilles to the list looking for a new manager.
