That is a good turnaround alright, our response was not turning up against Longford after throwing it away against Carlow. If we both win on Sunday it is surely unfair that we go up and ye do not, but that is life and football unfortunately, blame the ref not us. whatever about ye, we prob do not deserve to go up

Seems daft having all the football games on at 1.00pm. Why so early?. 2.00pm or 3.00pm would have been a much better time for throw ins.
Maybe there's a method in their madness but I can't work it out.

Longford is a good bit up the country. If the game threw in at 3 any Longford people wouldn't be home til pretty late. There's a schools football game on after the game too I think.

2 things, last round they always start all the games at the same time for competition integrity and I'm guessing the early start is based on the flight arrangements that London who are away to Carlow have organised, it was either last year or the year before they played Leitrim at noon as I think there's only a few flights to London out of Knock.

Yeah, my guess is it's to do with London as well. There are often early throw-in times when they're over here to play on a Sunday, and with this being the final round, all other games have to start at that time as well.

Aye, it's terrible altogether....what does a fella do when he gets his dinner in the middle of the day ?

probably because London need to catch a flight home and all the other D 4 games neeed to fit around this.

London are playing Carlow which is a dead rubber. Surely they could have played that match at 1pm and the others at 2 or 2.30pm as these are the matches which impact promotion

Well done to John and the lads on what was a good win and also a good League, apart from a poor opening performance against Laois. The lads drove on after the setback of the late penalty and in terms of score difference were comfortably the 2nd best team in the Division. Hopefully we will get a couple of bodies back from injury and give Leinster and the TC a good lash now!

Brilliant performance today, apart from all the spurned goal chances in the second half.

It's a pity that a decent league season was ultimately decided by Mr Dorrians strange decision to award that penalty in Carrick. We should be heading for promotion & croker next week.

Been from Leitrim a county that have had more that their share of bad luck today's result in Carrick on Shannon must of twisted the knife on ye in relation to the infamous Injury team goal in Carrick on Shannon.

I didn't see that result coming from yer game. I predicted the match winner would be 60/40 for a Longford win.

We think the Connaught Championship is tough.
My word the Leinster Championship is a minefield.

Just looked at the Leinster draw.

Get these 2 wins and your in the semi.
That's Carlow and then Louth
I'm genuinely wishing ye make a semi and after today's result it should be a reachable target

Hard luck so far in 2024

It is so infuriating that Wexford have lost out due to that particular decision. By the way the referee was terrible all game and I haven't seen him get a game since so I presume he paid the price for being so poor.

That's no consolation to the lads unfortunately.
