Whether u say or not I'm near sure freeman nailed it. Therefore it was a 45 and u are clearly wrong"
Your only near sure freeman nailed it but are 100% sure where every spectator was in the ground... sure

Replying To ScarnaMan1990:  "No joy in corduff for my own club truagh sadly yesterday don't know what went on seemed like no Kelly on no one else stepped up.
Two well matched teams in Scotstown wasn't at the game personally if anyone was and has any more info.
Inniskeen job done as expected
Latton with a super win over magheracloone bit of a surprise to lose by so much
Blaney job done as expected
Harps unlucky to not beat clones two very bad mistakes and no big men around the middle when they were needed in crunch time
Carrick again expected
Donaghymoyne expected also garland kicking the lights out with a hattrick
Sean's job done as expected killeevan missing a few men I believe but think the result was inevitable.
Predicted emyvale to blow Scotstown out of the water as expected
Predicted rock and Blackhill to be a tight affair
Oram nowhere near it again that's their season over for sure now
Roll on next weekend for another packed weekend with some big games: looking forward to the United parishes coming up the road to truagh on Sunday!"
Ye
Think so

Replying To Farney321:  "Harps unlucky not to win despite playing so poorly, the big number 8 plucked a few so wouldn't totally agree on that. Luke McManus was their main threat while jack lynch nullified freeman completely

Blayney we're comfortable against tyholland"
In fairness clones won most of the breaks as they did against Blaney, agree on lynch super performance.

Replying To Monaghan_football:  "U mustn't watch blayney, cause benny was shocking today. Multiple men stepped up today when benny and mcginty weren't firing. Quit commenting on a team that u dont bother going to watch"
Basing my opinion on the few games I have seen them play this year. Robbie decent in midfield, canice murphy and rice good young players but their main scorer is still benny.
Clones game for example 4 different players tried to mark freeman, started off been Hughes on him and ended up back at him after the other lads couldn't lay a glove on him, doesn't bode well coming up against garland or o hanlon ect in the business end of the competition.
Again I'm only Basing that on the games I've seen which could have just been an off day and don't see them every game like yourself.

As I said before if they had the ability to flick a switch and totally up their performance levels they wouldn't be in intermediate. Especially against teams who have county players coming back.

Not sure what you mean by that?
I follow both club and county going to as many games as I can.

Castleblayney contested a grand total of one county final between 2006 and 2013… Must have been seriously unlucky…

This just got me thinking- Imagine the levels our county team could be at if our town teams had been at even a respectable level in the last 10 years? Harps did have a couple of decent years in senior, but Castleblayney and Carrick have been embarrassing. A county as small as Monaghan simply needs our town teams to produce footballers for the county team.

From my memory, the only players from these town teams that played considerable minutes in league/championship:

Harps- Neil McAdam and Kevin Loughran.
Castleblayney- Malone, although Blackhill will lay claim to that one.
Carrick- Stephen Gollogly and Stephen O'Hanlon.

Scotstown with 4 champ debutants on Saturday and McCarthy and O'Toole to come back. Building for the latter stages

2008 lost in replay to latton by 1 after extra time in semi
2009 lost in replay to Clontibret by 1 after extra time in semi
2010 lost semi to Clontibret by 1 after leading whole way and conceding last minute goal due to poor turnover in possession
2011 lost to magheracloone in semi after leading for 55 mins
2012 another poor mistake led to loss to Clontibret in quarters
2013 disallowed goal for square ball in last kick of semi prevented 1 point win.

Yes after 2013 Blayney have struggled but they weren't far off at all up until 2013. Last 10 years have been poor but not 20 as you stated previously

Any thoughts on who could replace Andy Moran?

Could we go out of the box and try a Stephen O Neill/Jason sherlock type of coach?

What about in house, Malone, Counihan

Any other suggestions? Seems obvious we need to go with someone with some offensive play pedigree to replace that forward attacking mindset that Moran brought.

That actually sounds impressive to be fair. Although im sure there not the only club to have debutants.
Are the two lads injured? Are they due back soon

Reached 6 semis from 2004 - 2013 that's hardly struggling

Malone already doing a fine job in there. Counihan needs to take a development squad to see where he's at. Stephen O Neill bit of a flop with Fermanagh IMO
