Replying To Fionn:  "He sure did... Fair play to Dessie and his backroom team on this win.

As for POCB - was that Fenton with a POCB mask on.???? lol
Well played lad - your best performance ever, for club or county imo.
He now needs to follow this up regularly.
It cant be a case of An rud is annamh is iontach

The team performance was certainly a backlash from the Meath shambles...
And by God, did they and the fans need to see that.

I really hope this wasnt a flash in the pan performance.
But some faith has been restored thankfully."
POCB as Fenton in disguise lol. But what a performance by him.Hopefully it was nt a one off and he will kick on now.Forget the Meath game, some team had to beat us in Leinster at some stage,Also we were missing Bugler. If we meet them again this year there is only one winner.

Replying To Fionn:  "Me too but to be honest, did anyone predict him playing that well. I dont know of anyone.
But fair play to him.
Now he needs to back it up v Armagh etc....
It cannot be a 1 game wonder.

Although we will saviour this win, a word of caution...
Were Galway complacent considering the Dubs dismal performance v Meath the last day.?
Perhaps.
But Galway did create more goal chances than us and 18pts is not a massive score with these new rules.
Galway's return of just 14pts (I know it was 2-14) was very poor.
I cannot see them challenging for Sam this year now based on that.
They had a near full strength team, only missing a couple perhaps.
Dubs were missing both Small brothers, Murchin, Eoghan O'Donnell, and of course Lee.

Let's see how we perform against a Top 3 team next.
Kerry, Donegal & Armagh are my top 3.

As I have said many times - Con & CK are our most important players.
What a performance by Ciaran.
Hopefully Con's hamstring injury is not too bad - he left the field after only 45mins.

Delighted to be pleasantly surprised by the result though.
The reaction to the Meath performance was good to see."
I was behind the goal and got a good look at Con going off. He was walking freely so I hope it was a tweak rather than a pull and certainly not a tear. He'd be a massive loss. I'd love to see the Smalls and Murch back in there. The starting XV on Sat didn't have an ounce of physicality in them. Galway forwards running along the side and end lines, who should have been planted into the terrace didn't have a glove laid on them. The challenge now is consistency. Can POCB produce that performance again? Collie didn't have his shooting boots on either, the only forward not to score I think. Very tough game in two weeks time but it could be the making of this new Dublin team. Should be a great game.

Isn't it funny the way you remember little things.

Back in 2019 (When that Dublin team officially became the greatest of all time) I still remember reading this interview with Brian Fenton, scroll down to the final question re. POCB

With that in mind, I was so delighted when he got MOTM in the club final earlier this year.

My own take on Leinster! I was chuffed when we lost it on the day and still am. The longer records go on the greater the millstone they become around your neck! 15 in a row was more than enough! Get rid of it and reset! It's like a monkey off the back!

The interview,

Im only buzzing with you but Galway were nt expecting that result in Galway and I think our hurlers in Parnell park have the edge on your hurlers.Galway seem to get spooked in the Neller but time will tell.
