He's gone for the next game at least. They changed rule to make it apply to all games not just competition.

He was silly to react to the provocation tbh.

Back to the hurling this weekend, Senior final between Crokes and Na Fianna is Saturday evening. Being televised by RTÉ but be worth seeing in the flesh.

There have been fantastic encounters between these two over the past few years and expect another classic this time. Crokes the more impressive so far and on form might get the nod. However, Na Fianna imho are the better all round side in terms of personal and if they have a big day might win their second ever and their second in a row.

Crokes semi final performance was very impressive, whereas the Glasnevin men struggled to get past Vinnies.

It has the makings of a great game though and possibly a difficult one to call, but if Crokes perform like they did in the semi, they wont be stopped.

Not to be missed by county team followers who are neutrals either. Starting players and subs on Saturday will comprise large part of Ó Ceallacháin's panel next year.

Winners also be in with a real chance of winning Leinster with previous final appearances and close runs behind both.

Dublin SHC final:-
Kilmacud Crokes 2-18 Na Fianna 3-16, Parnell Park FT

How the hell did Crokes not win this...
Far too many wides and a hell of a 2nd half comeback from Na Fianna.

It was Crokes 1-14 to NF 1-09 @ HT
but Crokes had led by 8 pts on more than one occasion in that 1st half, and looked to be coasting.

The winning goal came in the 3rd minute of injury time for the Glasnevin men, in a more than frantic finish...

Great to be in the Neller for the Final and for the 2nd time 6 days, Crokes lose a Dublin County Final in injury time by 1 point. Gonna be tough to take for the Stillorgan club for sure, but they will bounce back, and I wouldn't bet against them making up for these losses by winning the double next year, such is their ability.

Gonna some celebrations on Mobhi Road tonight - Na Fianna back-2-back Dublin Senior Hurling Champions, and their only ever Dublin SHC titles.

Crokes are gonna be kicking themselves, but what a turnaround.

Congrats Na Fianna. Enjoy the celebrations.

The club house is hopping here, what a game! We were dead and buried twice but surely one of the most dramatic finales in Dublin Championship history. God I would hate to lose a final like that and yet its the way we all want our teams to win! What a beautiful game.

Only saw a highlight clip, but did the winning goal seem to be in the square?

Well done Na Fianna. Enjoy!

Fantastic final. Lots of nerves on display and some poor shot selection and execution for the purist but you can't bottle these two for excitement!

There was the guts of what could be a really good Dublin team on display there shorn of external managers and with a more Codyesque use of the whistle.

No, he came in from outside the square as it was hit across. A quick pause of the goal shows he's at the edge of square while the sliotar is already in it after it was been pucked across. Some finish to the game.

Thoroughly enjoyable game, what a finish. Great achievement for Na Fianna to do back to back.

Leinster sure to have first time championship winner now after Thomastown fist win in 70 years in Kilkenny.

Id imagine Na Fianna be marginally favourites now.

Any team with Screeney be tough catch. And they ran Ballyhale close two years ago.

Thomastown just ahead of NF in betting but there's 4/5 teams including Naas and whoever wins Wexford be in with chance. Clough tough first game for Na Fianna.

Unless Kilcormac win it out of course. They've done it before.

I have no recollection of that!

You are right of course. That was first time even winning Offaly i think?

I definitely wound not have NF as favourites in Leinster.

As much as I like them and wanted them to win the Dublin SHC, Crokes are a better team than them and blew it.

Dont get me wrong, It would be amazing if NF did win Leinster, but marginal favourites, nah not for me.
Thomastown would be ahead of them.

Exciting games ahead Barney.

I think NF might find it difficult to get to the final tbh.

But at the end of the day, they are Back-2-Back Dublin SH Champions, and that in itself is a wonderful achievement.

James McCarthy winds up an incredible IC career. Sad to think we won't see him in a sky blue jersey again. Thanks for all you have done for Dublin football James.

Best of luck to James McCarthy on his retirement from the county scene. Generally regarded all over the country as one of the All-time greats. What a privilege to have seem him in full stride in Croke Park and other venues over many years.
You gave it everything James and gained our respect.
