Good results, that's wonderful to see, I think the minor team need to get to a Leinster final to push this thing on further,it won't be easy Galway or kk waiting in a semi after next week..keep the shoulder to the wheel

Ah let's try to be realistic. They've done really well winning all four round robin games and winning today after a poor first half performance but talk of beating Kilkenny in a Leinster semi final is not remotely fair or realistic. Dublin next Saturday will be a huge challenge and a big step up from what's been faced so far. A competitive performance against Dublin would be a boost

It seems to me you don't want them to win at all..moral victories are no good anymore, they will get you so far but never to the top

Utter nonsense, please point out the basis for your statement, I'd like to be realistic. Pie in the Sky stuff achieves nothing. We beat Offaly by 4 points, Laois beat Offaly today by 31 points, that might give an idea of the standard.

I don't agree, Claretandblue is being realistic.we have been playing and winning in tier 2 and next week we will be playing a team competing at the highest level We will need t to play out of our skins to win this game improving hugely on today's performance.I think we can play a lot better but we will need a passionate crowd to get us through.Thinking of anything else is nonsense.

And we aren't well supported, only when we beat a Tier 1 county do the supporters show up. We have a lot of plastic supporters as we know well by now

Yes it will take an exceptional performance to beat the Dubs. Big step up. Thd big difference with Dublin teams is they are seriously conditioned. Like men at last year minor. I see Laois destroyed Offaly today. Has anyone details of where this game will be?

Westmeath vs Dublin will be a home game, surely in Mullingar. I've felt in all the games I've seen that these lads have way more in them.

Hold on now a minute, I said westmeath NEED to get to a Leinster final, I never said they would get to one, laois have done it twice now the last twelve years ,carlow done it in 06,why can't westmeath do it, enough of moral victories at this stage. Btw laois bet carlow by twelve points in the group, westmeath won today by eleven,so you can't compare Offaly with westmeath either after that massacre today. Laois must have just played exceptionally well or Offaly deplorably.

Nobody disagrees that Westmeath needs to get to a Leinster final, we have been very close mostly at 20/21. However at minor everything is in favour of the big 4 and the reality is we have to play much better than we did today to make a semi final against the best KK minor team in a decade. Dublin have all the advantages.

Dublin minors are quite poor. Way behind Galway and Kilkenny in every department.

I agree Preddan with everything you said. We will have to wait until next weekend to see what happens but there definitely is more in this group, I'd like to see the game in Cusack Park but maybe it'll be fixed for Joristown again.

Very similar to last year's 20s in that minors cruised through beat Carlow same as 20,s then unfortunately well beat by Dublin in leinster quarter in Cusack park.. I know that 5 players played senior day before the Dublin game last year and it definitely had a bearing on outcome but still think Dublin were fitter and stronger and would have beaten us regardless. I think that's were the difference will be.

Delighted about 15s heard nothing about it maybe you might give us a bit of detail.

Was in Joristown to see minors who have won 5 from 5 but will have to find another gear to beat Dublin or Wexford next week. We hit loads of wides gave silly frees away, took lots of wrong options but on the positive side still won easily.
It will be a huge game next week but Mckeogh has a big week to get the heads right."
15,s were exceptional. The work rate and skill levels off the charts. Despite criticism our games development manager was watching the game. Conor Raleigh and the center back ran the show. Huge work being done at underage in both hurling and football. Congrats to all

Great news we have some exceptional hurlers at that age. Sometimes a little criticism helps people to improve.
Still it's a long way from 15 to adult so these officials will have to help the clubs to keep these lads on the right track.
You are right great work being done despite the lack of facilities. But the board needs to allow these men and women to take charge of teams further up the line when their time comes
