Replying To preddan:  "How do people here think westmeath will do...it's one v difficult division to call.. Dublin and Waterford you expect a bit ahead but on a given day could be caught out by any of the other five..the other five teams,Offaly, westmeath, carlow, Antrim and laois so difficult, not a puck of a ball between them..player for player potential and quality westmeath might be a bit ahead, how they go as a team will have to see.
It's really difficult but if the team goes well third or fourth can be got."
A Big Game Saturday we have lost experienced players and have a few injuries. It had to happen some time and now the younger lads need to step up to the plate. But it will bring ups and downs so we all have to have patience.
St Mary's are producing excellent teams from 1st year on so it's a real plus going forward.

There' is a window I think in the middle two weeks of February so probably one of them.It won't be easy going to Belfast short of match practice and with so many young players.

Good to hear of Niall O'Brien, Killian Doyle, Davy Glennon etc coming back into the fold as the league progresses. Darragh McCormack back available for this weekend vs Antrim too which is a bonus but unfortunately Niall Mitchell, David O'Reilly and a couple more still injured. Great opportunity for some other young players like David Hickey and Dean Ennis to give the management a headache. Very tough going up to face a wounded Antrim with what will be a very young outfit, but we've plenty of quality. A draw would be a great result up in Belfast while we are understrength.

Agreed but how fit are they. When will they be ready to play.O Reilly must be getting close.Others seem to have constant injuries..
I think Belfast will be hugely difficult against a wounded animal on their own patch with a lot to prove.A win or even a draw would be a huge boost.

You'd imagine O'Brien and O'Reilly would be at a decent level of fitness given Castletown went right into December more or less last year. O'Reilly's injury was an upper body one so probably has been able to do some form of running work. Huge task up in Belfast for sure, it'll be a baptism of fire for many of the young players but I suppose it'll show Bulfin who is up to the task. It's a great opportunity for a lot of the young lads before the likes of Doyle, O'Brien, Glennon and Co come back in.

Id imagine we won't see Doyle till Mcdonagh if then.I think he is in Australia till end of February.IMO if Glennon and O Brien are fit and training they are needed now the youngsters need a few experienced players around.
