Wouldn't make a difference if Jogger went back had O'Reilly been playing as he'd have to pick up one of O'Brien or O'Reilly and that'd leave one of them free to do harm. If they meet again this will be the case.

No doubt CTG still would of won and would win again im just suggesting for LLG in the remaining fixtures hes better off going back curtailing a top forward than he is as a forward.

We just don't seem to be at it this year. Putting out fires. Makes last years loss all the harder to take

Very unfair on Dan Higgins who done quite well and was arguably Gaels best player in 2023, took Niall to the cleaners in the county semi final last year

Gaels just aren't firing like last year, the loss in the final was agonising. They were so close. Its very difficult to bounce straight back after that unfortunately. They are still in with a shout if they can get it together for Clonkill and Raharney, they may have to drop Jogger back for those games anyway.

Fair point as Dan has been consistently good for the Gaels for a long time.

Yes but that's last year and this year good player but niall is better form at minute

If we are going on lads ability in previous years its hardly a measure of the here and now. very good player Higgins no reason they cant both take up roles in the defense im not saying drop Higgins for him.

No I was just form at minute obviously that can change. I was saying anyone was bad player talking about so far this year that's.
Obviously is a good player didn't mean cause offence.
Interesting conclusion to the championship.

I just think it would be madness to weaken an already misfiring Gaels attack that has only fired in fits and starts in the last 4 games in Cusack

They just need to have Jogger in the tick of the action wherever that will be.

In reply to James McGrath if anyone gets a chance go to another county and watch refs ( Kilkenny, Dublin, Clare etc) . They don't call half as many frees unless it's a dirty stroke and they let the game flow and quick puck outs etc. That's what James does compared to our other refs.

Are quick puck outs not a foul?

In fairness to the Gaels they just need to win one of their last two fixtures to progress. They've loads of talented players. I still think there's a big game in them.

We'll be put to the pin of our collar to win either

The problem with James is he's inconsistent

Interesting discussion about where best to play Doyle. Am I right in saying though, that the Gaels got as far as the knockout stages last year without him, wasn't he in the states for the group stages and only came back into the team after that? How did they manage then?

Good point. Never thought of that. Remember the Gaels beat raharney in group stages last year without Doyle. If Gaels win then Raharney are out. If raharney win they through to final as they'll have CTG on head to head

Raharney hammered the Gaels in the group stages last year?
The Gaels bet them in a practical dead rubber in clonkill in 2022
