Replying To Bh78:  "Wandsworth are in the all Britain they beat Parnells in the play off on Saturday"
Massive win for Wandsworth - Marty McGrath training them this year so they'll could cause another few upsets. Thats a few junior teams that have won the all britain playoff, clarets last year and McCurtains a few years back. always good to see

There is very little between Junior and intermediate. Especially when you consider Parnells looked relatively comfortable in the in the intermediate semi and final whilst Wandsworth were pushed close in their games.

Great result for Wandsworth. They'll hold their own in the All Britain also. Great going for a club only in existence a few years and operating close to Round Towers and Fulham also. They will definitely be in the senior ranks in a few years.
Senior semis this weekend its hard to see anything other than relatively comfortable victories for Fulham and Kiernans. What date is the final down for?

The football final is down for the 16th at 3pm, with an undercard of the Reserve final at 11am and the U17 final at 1pm

Two excellent and entertaining semi finals. But better team won out. TCG didn't take their chances to finish the game off and Round Towers just fell short but put up a great battle. That game will definitely bring them on a lot and they've the makings of a championship winning team.
The final will be a great game and will bring plenty of age and will need a strong ref. I felt both did well Sunday given how competitive each game was. It really doesn't help the constant moaning on the sidelines questioning every decision even the obvious calls. TCG complaining after the game even though their middle players pulled and dragged down Kiernans ball carriers at least six times in second half alone.

Hurling semis are on after the relegation play off (12 noon) this Sunday.
Gabriels v McCurtains at 2, Pearses v Emmetts at 4.

How did Wandsworth get on in the All Britain at the weekend? Couldn't see a result anywhere.

Playing Brendan's (Lancs) in the semis I believe. Were due to play Jude's in the qf but the glocuestershire final has to be replayed - not sure why.

The final was a poor spectacle yesterday. Both teams had their chances with Kiernans riding their luck again. they were probably the better side but couldn't get enough ball in to McCarthy in the second half. Fulham looked very average for most of the game, I'd expect an easy enough win for Kiernans in the replay.

I wouldnt be so sure when you say comfortable - only for the goal I thought Fulham were looking home and hosed.. Nr 15 for Fulham was very lively.

Think the St.Brendans team from Manchester should account for Wandsworth handy enough having made an impression in the all Britain last year.

Gabriels to nick it by 3, but it could be close possibly going the same way as the football at the weekend with a draw.

Fulham will be sore to not have taken that game at the end. They were in control going up by 2 heading in to injury time, but Kiernans kept plugging away. With the Kiernans chances in the first half and the Fulham control in the second, a draw was a fair result.

Fulham to win in the replay as they looked more balanced with Murphy and Walsh making a key difference going forward with support from the likes of Connern, Goulding and Duggan. Kiernans seemed too reliant on their two key forwards to make something happen and if Fulham shackle them, they'll be home and hosed. Looking forward to another good battle.

Very interested to see how the Brendan's v Wandsworth game plays out. I think it'll be quite close, but still favouring Brendan's by a point or two.

Appreciate its not London but anyone got a view on the other provincial semi? Was a bit surprised how easily Casements beat Eire Og.

Fair play to the teams in the hurling final despite some tough conditions. Gabriels had a bit more quality in attack to keep the difference between the teams. How will they fair in the Connacht Club Championship?

Heard Wandsworth lost by the minimum to Brendans of Manchester. Fair to say Brendans were under more pressure to win considering they were playing a team who's season had finished many weeks ago and who had won the third tier competition in London. Be surprised if Brendans dont go on now and win All Britain outright again.

Hurling final was very good, especially giving the conditions, Gabriels far stronger on the day and were able to pull ahead when they needed to.

Thought Brendan's would win by more to be honest, fair play to Wandsworth. They've made great strides in a short period and seem to have good people involved to grow the club. They will be well able for intermediate and have a good base to attract numbers. That's probably why some clubs over West are struggling as there's a lot of competition for players and also a lot of irish moving and living around Clapham, Hackney etc Some clubs really seem to be struggling however, Neasden, Cuchulainns Eire Og etc seem to be in trouble.
