Replying To 19616609:  "Ollie I was there that famous day. I did say that the flags on the GNR bus were Louth ones. There probably were some orange ones as well. I heard it had a happy journey home despite the minor result.
By the way Hughie Casey who played for Armagh minors that day was a pupil at CBS Dundalk. Support went both ways."
Fair play 19616609. You witnessed history.

They still don't. They are waiting on the Pats to do something special.

That was some Pats team. Its a pity they never met Mattock when they were at their peak in the Senior final. Paddy Keenan and Mark Brennan had some great battles.

It sure was 19616609. What a year it was for the Wee County. Getting to back to back Leinster finals for the first time since 1958, reaching the quarter finals for the first time ever, beating Meath for the first time in the Championship since 1975, Craig Lennon recieving Louths second ever All Star, 3 other Louth players getting nominated for an all star and my favourite moment of the year was when Sam Mulroy hit over a last minute free to beat Cork. Roll on 2025!

Happy new year all.

Just wondering with no O'Byrne Cup to try players what's everyone's starting team for RD1 league?

Happy New Year Shearer. Is anyone else missing the O Byrne Cup? This time last year we were facing Meath at Ashbourne. Only 3 weeks to go for the start of the league.

Yes Ollie I definitely think they should bring back the obyrne cup. First game against westmeath will be very interesting. I wonder who will go into the middle with tommy. James Stewart connal mcaull conor early or ciaran byrne you would think one of them.

My starting team would be

Niall mcdonnel
Dan Corcoran Dermot Campbell Tadhg Mcdonnel
Connal mckeever donal mckenny Craig Lennon
Tommy Durnin Ciaran Murphy
Ciaran byrne ciaran keenan Conor Grimes
Ciaran Downey. Sam mulroy Ryan burnes

I think this team will be good enough for anyone in division 2 and lenster. LÙ ABÙ

Would you squeeze Andy Mc Donnell on that team or bring him on as a sub?

Is there any word how the behind closed doors challenge match between Louth and Donegal went today?

Based on what exactly…? A meaningless challenge game… By that reasoning Louth should walk Division 2…. We will see…!

I was wondering…. Like ourselves Louth would be more than happy to do a stint in Division 2….

What 19616609 really means is that Louth will win Division 2, win Leinster and that Cavan will be relegated.
