Your on here with a Mayo account and I suspect at least one Donegal account spouting Donegal GAA internal business, what does that make you?

Most of us here who have direct or indirect connections to the Senior panel or County Board would often hear a lot of these stories, but I wouldn't come on here an repeat it on a public forum. I might discuss player fitness or tactics etc, but I usually wouldn't start talking internal business.

Embarrassing post. I have one account and have previously explained my connection to Donegal. I am hardly giving out scandal that will tear the county apart. There are a few posters on here including yourself that think your posts on here will have an impact on what happens with Jim and the lads. Give your head a wobble.

And none of you on here had the information on Murphy injury, Lacey coming back as coach first but then to be announced as head of academy as I stated . You are just annoyed I have information you don't.

You can say what you want about him but he has good contacts.. can't beat a bit of gossip instead of listening to some of the posters on here.

Furthermore you didn't seem half as bothered when your own county men on here were speculating and spreading misinformation 2 years ago when the academy fell apart . Did most of you have contacts back then as well when posting rubbish here at the time?

Nah, I just don't like touts leaking information from inside the Donegal camp, because while this information sometimes seems innocent or harmless, sometimes its sensitive information the Senior Management or County Board don't want released for strategic or even legal reasons, as it maybe erodes trust or cause friction within or in the case of new appointments it could breach legal requirements the board are adhering to.

I don't think my posts will have any impact on what happens with Jim and co, because I'm not seeking to spread rumours or inside information on a public forum, I simply discuss GAA matters such as our team progress, what went well or didn't go well, areas of focus etc or potential lineups etc.

Cool I ask again are the same people on here who have information as you stated in a previous post the same people spreading misinformation about the academy last time out? You must have been all over that thread demanding silence from them?

You need to watch what you say on this forum. Very easy to offend people.

I think our PRO is doing a fantastic job, away better than out previous role holders. I deduce from the fact that you are coming to the Donegal page from Monaghan, to attack our PRO, that you must have had a prior issue with the PRO.

it's really not that serious, dhia sabháil

I love Jim and I love Donegal GAA but the secrecy and paranoia about information "leaks" is just mad stuff, it's not just our set up of course it's rife within senior intercounty and trickles all the way down the club game, it's something I really hate about everything that surrounds the matches these days, I miss when players would have good sit down interviews and you could read a bit of insight into a players' background and things, journalists have zero access these days and it's sad to me, everything is ran through about 20 different levels of access. I love this team at the minute but could I tell you much about the lads personally other than ones I know from my own area, or the more well known and established lads, no not at all. god forbid a lad gives an interview in the week leading up to a big game for fear of a "leak"

at the end of the day we love these GAMES, of course we want to win and want our lads to have the best chance possible to bring home Sam but "leaks" "touts" "sensitive information" I mean come on. Flaker has been very consistent in posts from the odd time I pop in and out over the years. What's with this sort of reaction honestly

Dúirt bean liom gur dúirt bean léi is practically codified in the GAA, unless people are spreading vicious rumours that will have serious negative impacts on peoples' personal lives I really don't see an issue in this stuff. if you want to take it as serious as that then go ahead I suppose, I couldn't be bothered with the effort to be outraged any time someone dares "tout"

I was deeply bothered that posters on here were naming specific roles within the County Board, which made it easy to figure out who was involved. Whether or not those same posters are fellow Donegal men is questionable, some are troll support accounts, to back up someone who is stirring the pot. Makes it seem like the general consensus agrees with the pot stirrer is posting, when it reality its BS.

I don't mind speculation, which is different from someone here with a Mayo account and possibly a couple of Donegal accounts on here giving specific inside details and naming people etc.

I think you're over-estimating the importance of this forum and anything said in here. It has little impact on the real world. I haven't seen any newspaper articles or news stories anywhere after someone posted something in here.

This nonsense again. I have one account and my posting is consistent. It's pretty easy to tell posters who have two accounts so stop with the rubbish. You can't punch holes in any of my facts so now a couple of posters are trying to claim I have multiple accounts. Childish stuff.

I don't stir any pots or post untruths. I became interested in the Donegal page because of the embarrassing posts on here from multiple posters when Lacey left the academy last time out. Maybe fight a bit harder against the eejits on here from your own county instead of trying to say posters are trolls with multiple accounts.

Lastly if you think I or any poster has more than one account then name the accounts you are suspicious about.

Agreed. The omerta at club level is even more amusing. Lads, you're playing an amateur sport, supposedly as a healthy passtime. It's not the nuclear codes we're talking about here. Relax.

It's off the scale and sadly it's getting worse.

I remember our own neighbours Buncrana completely giving out the wrong numbers in their programme in a QF a few years ago. Didn't do them much good as they were well beaten in the end.

I also heard of a backroom team member of his own junior club (and someone who frequents coaching tickets in the North) instructing the person who did the club twitter page only to update the scores and the the scorers as it were as they didn't want opposition to know who were their danger men. The ironic thing being that they have a main player that does about 80% of the scoring anyway so it was not state secret!

Punch holes in your "facts"? Not at all, I'm saying that you or anyone sharing inside information are damaging Donegal GAA, while you think its harmless, you honestly don't know the potential issues that could arise from sharing inside information about Donegal GAA County board and the Senior panel.

You obviously have a need to feel that your word is taken as gospel on here, lording the fact that you told people information in advance. I'm certain that plenty of actual Donegal fans on here have inside information/knowledge at various times, but wouldn't be on here spewing it.

Absolutely no issue. My original point was it was an embarrassing post to announce a juvenile manager, not even the county minor/u20 would have gotten that.
