Replying To LongfordgaaAbú:  "Grattans flying, would be some achievement if they keep it up. Clonguish will win division 1 and leader cup and the championship. Clocking up big scorelines and without the county's top scorer who will be back once Tailteann is over. This is their breakthrough year."
Lets see how this prediction is getting on...

Clonguish win Division 1 ✔
Clonguish win Leader Cup ✔

Grattans might get some reward in the Patsy Reilly Cup final after missing out on promotion in Division 2.

Next up Championship - My prediction remains unchanged. County final likely a repeat of the Leader Cup final. Clonguish to win with some margin. This is their year.

Replying To Gunner24:  "This is a strange reply considering Colmcille were missing a more than you mentioned and I would argue more important players respectively (Vincent Hourican, Conor Grant along with who you mentioned). I think his point was fair. Clonguish were full value for their win though with a late goal making the scoreline more respectable to Colmcille."
Nothing strange about it as he seems to be constantly downplaying Clonguish for some strange reason. You could also add Moore, Devlin, Sorohan, Sheridan and Smyth to the absentee list of Clonguish. Don't get me wrong, Colmcille will be right up there come championship time as they have proven they are a very good team. But only for Clonguish having to play the last 10 minutes with 14 men last weekend the winning margin could have been a lot bigger. This championship in Longford is a very wide open affair with Abbey, Killoe and Mullinlaghta also there competing. I don't know what to make of Dromards league form.....but thankfully for them, Mostrim and the Gaels look destined for the drop.

My predictions:

Senior- Mullinalaghta, I think there is one last kick in this team.

Intermediate - Ballymahon

Junior - Colmcille

Ignore the killoe stats propaganda, the championship is wide open. League form is irrelevant given the number of players teams were missing. Any of Abbeylara, Killoe, Clonguish, Mullinalaghta and Colmcille can win it out with Slashers and Dromard not far off either. Mostrim and Drumlish are going down with both likely to take heavy beatings. Connollys should finally win the intermediate

Just seen that Killoe have now got 2 teams in division 2 and their first team still in div 1. A tremendous achievement to have 3 teams playing at such a high level next year.

They won't have 2 teams playing Division 2 next year. Of their Division 2 team, they only had to name 6 players who couldn't play Division 3 football. So apart from 6 players, their Division 3 team was their Division 2 team!

I'm going with Clonguish to win Senior, as they ran away with the league with only half a team available by all accounts. They also have a good spread of players well able to kick 2 pointers. An inconsistent game at the wrong time might be the only thing to catch them out as they haven't that experience of winning a championship yet. Mullinalaghta and Killoe the dark horses here just through experience in big games.
In the Intermediate I think Cashel will win (after getting relegated to Junior last year) as they were very consistent in the league. Sean Connolly's might surprise them if Reynolds is back fit for the knockout stages. I don't think Grattans are ready yet but won't be surprised to see them in a final.
Killoe are promoted to Div.2 by virtue of winning Div.3. Spinx is correct, 19 named players can't play Div2, 25 named players cant play Div3 so they are similar teams bar 6, still a great achievement and a sign of good numbers in a club. Also the reality is they will only have 1 team in Div.2 next year and 1 in Div.3. as it will be impossible to have 2 teams in the same division.
